Nope, I don't want a perfect game but I want some sort of offensive production at least. Offense couldn't do anything outside of the first quarter. That last Td happened because the defense gave them insanely good field position. The offense didn't come to play which I think it is unnnaceptable ( win or lose). You can see Stafford was frustrated as hell in the end too. ( Interview post game)

They will have to clean it up next week. I expect the O to shine next week against Tampa.

I found this on the Nike website, shows the 8 teams Rivalry game Jerseys...looks like 3 of the 8 got black. If you go into link, they have the full uniforms and helmet updates for all 8 teams pictured as well, NC. The Hawks look AWFUL.

He did have a bad game, but like beast stated, Sark didn’t help him much (I’m not a fan of Sark after what I saw him do w USC, and other ball clubs).

Also, let’s give the kid some slack… it is Ohio St in Ohio, and was his first real big game. Give him time.

1989, Troy Aikmans first year in Dallas as the QB… they went 1-15 and looked awful.

I think the Bills win next week. It’s Josh Allen’s time. He’s clearly the best QB remaining in the AFC. He needs to carry his team and I think he will.

I'm not saying you have, but there seems to be a lot of angst about losing Jones, yet PFF ranks him 108th out of 189 Linebackers last year (142nd on pass defense). One sack, only 13 pressures, although he's good with 94 solo tackles. What am I missing?

I know this for myself. After seeing the GB game, and pretty much every Rams game...I will only be comfortable if we are up 3 scores with 6 minutes left in the 4th. Other than that, not high fiving anyone. I'm already questioning the 6 minutes now...

worst part about that 3rd and 2 sack is the center and guard both left the DT unblocked and chose to each participate in a separate double team, giving up a horrid sack.. we should have ran it till we got the first down and proceeded... almost looked rigged.. terrible sequence.. should have been SB champs last year.. than again I should have a HS championship ring as a near top team in the nation and #1 in the nation JC championship but lost both games in the last seconds.. AL Bundy style.

Limmer screwed up the line protection call. Limmer passed Carter off to Dotson, which would be fine if that was the line call, the issue is Dotson was waiting to see if a Eagle would blitz based off the line call.

A total miscommunication, so disappointing. One of the biggest reasons Mcvay went after a vet, Shelton. Who knows all the Rams offense and line blocking calls. Shelton isn't the best blocker, but there isn't any miscommunication or bad line calls.


Kyren was wide open and could have ran for ever………….

Some questioned the level of competition the rams beat this year. Rams have wins vs Texans, Indy, Niners, Seattle and Jacksonville. All playoff caliber contending teams.

Snell's 3 game 0.86 ERA is second to Sandy's 1965 WS run of 3 games 0.38 ERA from pitchers with minimum 20 IP

Basically I had zero questions about the defense going into week one. I do think they are a top 5 potential. Especially with Poona and The ILB upgrades.

49ers are placing Pro Bowl TE George Kittle on injured reserve, meaning he now will miss at least the next four games. Kittle injured his hamstring during Sunday’s win over Seattle and now will miss games at New Orleans, vs. Atlanta, Jacksonville and at the Rams.


Well, that gives me some comfort we dont have to deal with Kittle. Dude is a solid player.

How Kittle's absence impacts 49ers' offense:

Kittle isn't just a pass-game weapon. He is also the NFL's best blocking tight end. Kittle plays a huge role in the 49ers' run game, working with the other tight ends and fullback Kyle Juszczyk to lead the way for the Christian McCaffrey-led rush attack on both misdirection plays and straight-ahead calls. Because San Francisco's offensive line beyond Trent Williams and Dominick Puni isn't a strength, Kittle's role in that aspect of the game is even more important.

But of course, Kittle is also an explosive weapon down the field. And the key word there is explosive. He's not a particularly high-volume pass catcher (he runs fewer routes than most other top tight ends because the Niners have him block more often than other teams do with their tight ends, given that he's such a good blocker), but he creates big gains at a rate significantly higher than just about every tight end in the league.

Well, he was only targeted 3 times, and as I recall, outside the top guy who had 13, nobody else HAD more than 3 targets. So .. maybe he has lost a step, and that might be the reason for the targets .. but when one guy gets 13 and nobody else has more than 3 .. I'd say it's a bit difficult to evaluate their potential impact, jmo

Personally, I'd like to see him have a good year, I have nothing against him. He did well for us, including a season for the ages. If he struggles, so be it, anyone who hangs around long enough eventually will, but I think I'll give him more than 3 targets before I pass judgement


Agree that 1 week is way too small of a sample size. It will be interesting to watch, maybe it's just a slow start. Maybe he didn't get the targets because he didn't get separation. Like I said, I love the guy and wish him the best unless he's playing against the Rams. I think he was set to make $20 mil with the Rams and that was just too much.


He still cost us a 22 million CAP hit this year...
