Yeah, maybe I don’t know what to make of that second half.

One week has nothing to do with the other... mistakes almost killed us today otherwise it would have been another blow out. We survived against the SB Champs in Tampa because we ARE that good...but we cant do the turnover gift next week. Besides the turnovers, our second half wasnt terrible.

Personally I could have done without the 4th fumble.

If I'm a coach, I'm telling Akers 2 hands on the ball at all times. Unacceptable. He had a bad game. Maybe he gets an a$# whooping all week on ball security.

The Allen Fumble, we were in chip shot FG range... amazing how it always bounces into the other guys hands on those things, or so it seems..

Ball security must be emphasized from here on out. Akers and Kupp know better.

I hope we can get our run game going again.

Akers contributed some plays on the drives earlier in the game that lead to points. I remember a specific pass play where he took on the Bucs S, No 34, who wasn't doing so good after Akers crashed thru him for the last 6 yards and the 1st down... he left for a few plays IIRC..
Ake will be fine and raring to go next week...

We seem to come out of this game relatively injury free...the OL needs a big game next week...

Akers will rebound...McVay put too much on his shoulders today...still needs to learn how to mix his backfield...IMO...now that my heart palpitations have eased...what a fricking game!

I agree with this post on so many levels. It’s like the younger guys, Kupp, Akers, and Gay lost mental focus at critical points within 60 minutes. Totally reminds me of the 49’ers game second half.

the only real reasons the game was close was because of allen's STUPIDITY snaping the ball when Staff never told him to do it , never gave him the signal and then , akers second fumble. Without those 2 mistakes this game would have NEVER been this close . Should have ended after miller's strip sack . Mcvay called a great game but I kinda put akers's fumbles on him . He is looking good but he only played 1 game before they threw him into the fire today . Why not SHARE with michel that has been running full speed for 7-8 games now ? It seems he overused akers and akers was just not ready for it .

Good teams don't lose 4 turn overs and have to win games in the final seconds.
If you're actually good, the game is won before the last minute.
But we'll keep it simple and talk about 4 turn overs

Those were my thoughts exactly. Don't turn the ball over. Feels like we got another chance.

That's exactly what parity is. Everything is weaker.
This is another example of a created reality.

3 games were won by a fg by the away team, all with 4 seconds on the clock. That's not reality. That's not natural.

All that happened was the other team lied down.
Just like KC lied down for Bills drive.
Lol and Bills are supposed be a number one or top defense?
