And People Think McVay Fades Down The Stretch. Check This Out.

Saw more than one piece this year pointing out that McVay's Rams team often start like gangbusters then fade down the stretch.
It's a decent observation, but not really cause for panic, in my view. Now THIS...this is some cause for god damn panic.

I was thinking that it’s like 18-19 teams that have changed HC’s during the 5 years that McVay has been here. That many teams are still trying to get it right while this team has a HC that has yet had a losing season, been to playoffs 4 of the 5 years, and to at least the second round in 3. In fact last 3 playoff seasons to at least the second round.
Yes he drives some crazy at times but fact is this organization nailed the McVay hire. As good as this league has right now other than maybe a few exceptions. A very few…………

Is there some way Kingsbury can coach the Whiners too?

Toast wanted Fisher back over McVay a few weeks ago
"Never forget"

Agree with every single thing you said. I've talked to many people off this forum and they all say that if we lose, then McVay is gonna be on the hot seat. Which is stupid and crazy to think about. You gotta be crazy to fire a coach after winning seasons and everything else McVay has accomplished since being here.

And again fortunately it’s not how the Rams owner conducts his business. See Denver Nuggets and Mike Malone……….
He knows who actually would I replace either with and be better off? Answer no one unless The guy in NE or the guy at Golden State comes available…………
He ignores bleep bleep fans……….

Since 2017, the Rams have gone 31-9 in the first eight games of the season and only 19-16 in the rest of those regular seasons.
“But it’s no cause for panic because here’s a coach whose numbers are worse”

And yet somehow Kroenke appears to be happy with a HC 30 games over .500…………..
Oh by the way 19-16 isn’t correct. Recheck your numbers……………

In regular-season contests, Sean McVay's Rams teams have gone a cumulative 31-9 over their first eight games and 24-17 over their last eight or more (nine during the 2021season).
So there is still a difference, however overall it's 55-26 for five years (plus 4-3 in the playoffs at this point), which I'd venture is difficult to be all that upset about.
I'm expecting that the '22-24 NFL seasons will prove to be quite challenging for McVay, as our team's head coach... ;) :?

Funny I'm expecting 22-24 to be great years for the Rams and McVay-perennial SB contenders for all of those seasons. We may have to replace Stafford in a few years but we have money to do that-yes no draft picks but the lure of LA and money will get us a QB
