Here’s Why I blame McVay

Post by therealheadslap75 »

He got outleveraged all game in both sides of the ball

Why do the Seahawks beat the NINERS?
They run a 4-3 and bring a safety in the box, clogged passing lanes, tough to run slants and not easy to run vs 8 in the box

We run a 4-2 with a 280 lb DT(who’s the best but will open run lanes) light OLBS one slow ILB AND ONE small ILB and two high safeties , one of who runs a 4.78 vs a team that uses a full back and has one of the best blocking tight ends in the league

In every scenario we are out numbered when they run

Very rarely did Morris add an extra DL, which is not great because they still outnumbered us

On O Everyone in the country knew McVay was going to try and establish the run with his Heavy 6 Set
Problem is the Niners brought 8 and 9 in the box
4 DL and 4 Lbers and even snuck the safety down

I said all week throw out of the heavy set, they did it once, touchdown to Higbee

We need to run out of the shotgun with 4 wide , pitch the ball like the Niners did in the second half

McVay never runs out of the shotgun

He never took their DL out of their game
No roll outs, no draws, no screens, no tempo

Poorly coached game didn’t try one thing to slow down the pass rush

That long possession SF had to start the 2nd half pretty much gassed our D. They were done at that point, You cannot be on the field of play for that long and for that many plays especially when opportunities were there to stop them, but missed tackle after misses tackle at the 1st point of contact kept killing us. It was one of the most infuriating drives against this team all season, if not the most.

Shanny owns Mcvay
Mcvay owns Pete and KK
Pete owns Shanny

All the coaches gets out coached by one of the other rivals. At least Mcvay outcoaches two NFC opponents coaches.

Yes I agree Cornell, but there is a reason why he's getting outcoached, its leverage in the running game

It's the team make up, personal and style of play. The niners style of play and player personnel takes advantage of the Rams weaknesses.

The Seahawks style of play and player personnel takes advantage of the Niner Weaknesses

The Rams style of play and player personnel takes advantage of Seahawks and Cardinals weaknesses.
