He is garbage. He is only good for a extra blocker on a run play.

Some people expect miracles from a #8 OL who was on the covid19 reserve list during the week.

I’ll give him a little slack because he was on the COVID list. But we also don’t know if he was actually not feeling well. That being said…………..

Again this isn’t a rookie we are talking about. This is a player who is in his 3rd NFL season, with the same offensive play caller the entire time, and who last night started his 8th NFL game……………

Yes he should have shown much more last night instead of being dominated…………

I'll give him some slack too, bc he was coming off of covid. With that said, Evans, before covid, had issues in pass protection. Evans was bad in pass protection before covid and continues to be.

Good news is he has starting experience and he can be used as a 6 ol on run plays.
I'm glad Hav is back and hopefully Boom soon

Flu-like diseases reduce oxygen intake and efficiency. Stamina drops to a low level and recovery time increases. I expected multiple Rams players to suffer late in the 1st half and for most of the 4th quarter. That certainly applied to Miller and Evans.

Not trying to be argumentative but none of us have no idea if he was feeling Ill while out. Example being Ramsey tested positive, said he felt fine with no symptoms, and was bleeped off that he couldn’t play against AZ………….

And like Cornell stated he has been a poor pass blocker well before last night and him being on the COVID list…………….

Someone feeling fine isn't the issue. Many people who have cold or flu-like diseases suffer severe short-term stamina loss. Expecting everyone who was cleared to be back near to 100% was wildly optimistic. Some of the players who played post covid19 on Tuesday will still have stamina issues this coming Sunday. On the other hand some people will be completely fine, and a few will suffer stamina issues for months. We weren't going to know who would have issues until they were put under duress. That didn't happen until Monday Night.

Evans is a mediocre player. He's a scrappy, run-blocking, back-up G. He's outmatched in strength, skill, and reaction/set-up. It might have been better to put Corbett at LG, Evans at RG, and Edwards at RT. That would have been fairer to Evans but i'm not sure Edwards is any better at T. The Rams could have put Shelton in at LG and moved Edwards to T. They could have played either Anchrum or Jackson who were both on the bench. Why aren't fans mad at the guys Evans beat out, or mad at the coaching decisions? Some-one might think there was an anti-Evans agenda at play here, especially since PFF gave Corbett a lower game grade. meh.

So because he played poorly last night it had to be COVID related instead of well he just played like bleep…….

So we should consider being mad at the decision of playing him over say Anchrum and Jackson who combined has less tenure then Evans, neither has started a game in the NFL, n one is a rookie. We are questioning that decision……….

And weren’t they both on the COVID list also? I guess no excuse for those two in regards to “short term stamina loss”………….

I don’t recall anyone in the last 24 hours defending Corbett’s play last night. To be clear he played like bleep also……….

Sorry a 3rd year pro making his 8th start should not have been dominated like he was last night……..

bigklein wrote: December 22nd, 2021, 12:56 pm Evans is better in the run game. He’s nice to have as an inexpensive backup. Based on his rookie play, though, I thought his overall game would be better at this point.
He is better in the run agree. Said so before the game last night. But my God we should expect better pass protection from him last night then what we saw…………..

I agree...Evans has been a disappointment his entire 3 years with the Rams.....that game against Seattle didn't define him it just showed who he is.

Using Covid is lame....all teams have issues and injuries to deal with this time of the year. The guy should be better than what he has shown to date IMO
