I know I am making another thread as I did earlier, but I am still so confused why Burgess is the forgotten man in the secondary? Is he bad? Our DC is playing everyone but him. He was looking great pre ankle break. We need to shore up the safety spot if Rapp continues to stink. Why is he not in the discussion?

I was reading an article that was written at the start of TC this year, where Burgess had just had a good practice. McVay and Donald were raving about getting him back.

Then we had stuff a few weeks ago where McVay was criticising his practices and saying he wasn't where they would expect him to be?

Something has happened between early Aug and September that got him in the doghouse and he just can't seem to get out?

Can’t understand this, with how poorly Rapp is playing, we def need more speed and athleticism out there

Burgess in a negative way, answered why he hasn't been playing much

From ramswire

Dud: Terrell Burgess
Fans have been calling for him to get more playing time all year, and in his first extended action of the season, Burgess looked out of place. He missed a couple of tackles, was out of position at times and didn’t make much of an impact, recording only one assisted tackle in the game. He also failed to come up with the Cardinals’ onside kick attempt at the end of the game, which could’ve cost the Rams a win.

I saw the whole game and I agree. I just don't get it based on his time last year and at Oregon(I think). He missed that stupid onside kick. Crazy game. I will stop calling for him. Just think he had the building blocks for a good safety.

I wouldn't be too harsh on him for the onside kick. Looked like he was getting it, then Rozeboom flew in and wiped him out. I never understand the panic in those situations, if you let one man make the play, you shouldn't get that carnage.

Based on his play last night, it tells me he is not ready for leading role on this defense. Not to say he does not have the talent, but he must look in the mirror and figure out what he needs to change moving forward.
