Was previously on the titans. Made the team but got cut after the titans backup rb got healthy. Put on Titans practice squad, before being cut and signing to the rams practice squad.
Runs hard, gives it his all. Every place he's been his work ethic been praised. High school coach, Iowa coach and the Titans coach all praised his work ethic.

Good stuff. Thx 29. One thing is, im not sure we claimed him. He was actually cut off the Titans PS. Then a week later we signed him. I could be wrong
Yes you are correct. He was put on the titans practice squad and later cut and added to the rams PS.

Work ethic doesn't always mean results... There's a reason he was undrafted and can't seem to stay on a practice roster...
This sounds similar to being told a potential blind date has a nice smile and great personality.... :|

I really do think if he was anything special he would have seen the field before now. I think we are just taking a stab in the dark on this one.

We had 6 RBs in the preseason. All 6 were unavailable last weekend, as was Howell who was added later. With Michel coming in Sargent is effectively RB #9 and Hawkins is RB #10.

After last week that would look to hold true, our o-line is dinged up but they seemed to get it together…
I’m still a little confused after that stint of dropping Stafford back dozens of times, suicide… but then Henderson was not 100% either…

He was the 22nd-rated RB in the 2021 draft.
Here’s strengths and weaknesses from a pre-draft prospect evaluation:
Strengths
Compact build with a thick upper body and leg strength. Runs hard and with balance, is a patient runner who makes subtle, energetic cuts to make up for his modest explosiveness.
Doesn't possess elite breakaway speed, but is fast enough to gain yardage in chunks when he finds a seam.
Does not possess top breakaway speed, though he's rarely caught from behind.
Shows a surprising burst to beat linebackers to the edge. Can plant his foot in the ground and explode, showing better straight-line speed than expected.
Possesses quick feet and straight-line speed but doesn't have the elite burst to be a constant big-play threat. Improving patience as a runner, following pulling guards and makes good decisions on his cut.
Weaknesses
Too indecisive and hesitant at the line of scrimmage.
Not the most instinctive runner and too often tries for the big play, dancing and losing yards. Lacks the natural power to push the pile and feels more comfortable avoiding contact.
Not elite in his vision or strength, he has enough all-around game to be a three-down player at the next level
Goes down too easily upon contact and needs to do a better job staying on his feet and anticipating hits. Needs to be more of a finisher and run with more purpose and determination.
Does not always read blocks behind pulling guards. May not be big enough to move piles at the next level and has a tendency to bury his head too soon.
It’s a highlight collection so take it with a grain of salt but he has some nice moves and doesn’t seem to go down easy plus seems to turn the corner very nice for having a 4.62 40 time.

I have no problems if they continue to take stabs in the dark in RBs. Just look around the league, specifically the 9ers, and Pats. They keep find diamonds in the rough out of in-game running backs. If four don't cut it, you might find one that does. Bring em on! It's probably the easiest position where you'll find a sleeper.
