Here’s my way too early post
Looking at this team I think we are going to be even better next year. With the return of Akers, another year for the offensive line to gel, a chance to tie up some loose ends on defense and a full offseason for Stafford to continue to work with his receivers I can only see us making improvements.
Now I know everyone wanted to see us play in the Super Bowl in LA and that would have been pretty cool, but we have a tough stretch ahead of us at the end of the season. I lost confidence in our chances after losing 3 straight.
Yesterday against the terrible Jacksonville team we looked very, very good, but I really hope it’s not just all smoke and mirrors. The next five games will be very telling. And let’s not forget that Stafford still has yet to win a playoff game, and he has looked terrible in three prime time games this year. Maybe the bright lights are just too much for him.

Re: Here’s my way too early post
Yesterday was one of those games that makes you dare to believe again. We seemed to start gelling again on offense against a poor team.
I'd have preferred another confidence booster before we landed in primetime but it is what it is. Another chance for Stafford to change the narrative. I really don't know which Stafford to expect at this point but he NEEDS a primetime win against a quality opponent.
As for next year, yes I think we'll improve. The missing pieces are fairly obvious again, it'll just be whether we choose to address them. Don't see us losing many coaches to other teams either, unless they are released.

Re: Here’s my way too early post
I'd love to think that. There is always a chance. Maybe they can work some magic. But this is probably about as good as it gets for us. Our stars are at peak or slightly past that now. We don't have the cap space, don't have the draft picks to improve that much. Sure, Akers and Woods returning is a big plus but others of equal value will probably go down. Every year this happens. Without top draft picks, I don't see how we bring in enough talent to keep up with the rest of the division. For example, we need to get better on the oline and our best oline man is about to become the oldest player at his position of all time. So how does it get better there .NN1Badboy wrote: ↑December 6th, 2021, 1:20 pm Looking at this team I think we are going to be even better next year. Whitworth is probably done after this year. Donald seems to be slowing some, still fantastic but he's not taking over games like he has in the past. We don't know what Akers will look like next season. Day could be gone after this year. No draft picks to speak of. I think if we don't do it this season then we'll see a steady decline beginning next year.

IMO, the only way Big Whit retires after the season is if the Rams wins the SB...

Nothing better than a Rams win, but a Niner loss comes pretty close.

I think Whit returns next season. Akers will be back for the Playoffs.
Defense needs to crank it up a notch or two--that includes Von Miller and D. Williams.
I want to see more Michel and OBJ. Higbee needs to step up too.
Love our new Kick Returner too.

The Rams controlled the game because they ran the damn ball for a change. However, I don’t have enough faith that McVay will continue this Monday night.Yorkshire Ram wrote: ↑December 6th, 2021, 1:37 pm Yesterday was one of those games that makes you dare to believe again. Maybe this is why 'Dont look up' is coming out in theaters this month. Cleveland is onto something. We're all going to die.
Shoot Cleveland, way to let the Rams know. If they knew this... we could have given up EVERY draft pick we have, ever to field the best team ever this season.![]()

You're doing exactly as trained to do. You can't prove me wrong so all you do is insult and make jokes about meds/mental.
You're admitting that unless you agree with the herd, you are told you are crazy.
BTW, no one trained me to do anything except to be real. I can see you missed that lesson.
meanwhile and since you haven't proven a damn thing either, I'm bowing out for the sake of the board members here. good luck Harold.

What you don't get...clevelandrams wrote: ↑December 10th, 2021, 12:53 pmExcuse me? I just explained the absurd obvious evidence. It happens over and over. Open your eyes.
The Seattle game a couple weeks ago, the Detroit game last week, last night's game. All obvious pre determined endings. Real life is never that exciting, and that lucky ,that often. Only on tv world.
Just because YOU THINK you have made yourself understood DOES NOT mean that you have?
And because you have anointed yourself an expert on a topic no one gives a rats ass about doesn't either..
You can believe whatever you want mate.... constantly cramming it down everyone's throat regardless of what we try to talk about got old long ago...

Re: Here’s my way too early post
IMO this team is on the decline. Next year we have no draft capitol nor cap space ($3.3 million) so I find it hard to believe we'll get better...
If I was Stan I would fire the FO and tell whomever he hires...
#1. Stafford doesn't not get a new contract until he plays out the current one. Let's not blow the cap space we have in 2023. And for gosh sake let Miller walk after this season...
#2. Tell the new FO if they trade away any of the 2023 or 2024 draft picks they will be fired. We have "stars" on the team and a bunch of crap in between them. The overall lack of talent has caught up to us. You can't keep giving away so many picks and not expect it to eventually bite you. I am so sick and tired of seeing other teams with multiple starting rookies. You need to find at least 2 starters via the draft and year in and year out we're lucky to get 1. You just can't keep doing that year after year and expect to compete...

Judge our new coach in his third year. After all our last coach was to game strategy what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles...

Re: Here’s my way too early post
Harold, after reading your opinions, for your take to have any legs it would require that every good call, bad call or no call is scripted prior to each week's action, for each and every game, in each and every sport, for a desired result by someone, or some entities who would have to believe a corrupted outcome would be better than a natural one. Name 1.clevelandrams wrote: ↑December 10th, 2021, 3:10 amAnd you immediately go into a shrink joke to prove my point. I assume you came to this conclusion in an attempt to explain why (as we have all witnessed) bad or missed calls during sporting events. Some of which actually determine the outcome of games. This of course is and has always been frustrating to watch, but it does not mean that games are rigged as you surmize. Refs are fallable for sure, but that said, it does not make them, or the league corrupt or perpetrating what you accuse them of.
Or are you saying players are throwing games too?
It clearly seems to me that the "billion dollar business" would suffer far more harm if it was ever found to be fixing games rather than allowing outcomes to happen naturally. Other than gamblers, who really loses if team X loses on any given Sunday? And please don't try and sell that Vegas rules the roost for sporting events or their outcomes.
Risk to reward Harold. Your position just doesn't add up.
What would be even more amazing to me is that not 1 single soul has ever spoken out about this, spilled the beans, ever. That fact alone makes your take almost impossible to be correct.
