I must say McVay's play calling is awful

Third down and a foot and you run Henderson instead of QB sneak. Stafford is 225 lbs, sneak the ball on a quick snap.
3rd and three at a critical time in the early 4th quarter and instead of doing a short pass to TE or slot WR, McVay send in a play to a wounded OBJ 20 yards down field.
On the Stafford pick 6 it's 3rd and 4 and once again pass down field to the weak side of the field.
Hopefully McVay will use these mistakes and remember them with his photographic memory and not make these mistakes moving forward.

it's more than awful it is freakin criminal. Rams FO needs to go out and hire an OC and tell McVay you are the head coach and your job is to delegate and make sure the " ship " is going in the right direction.
Watch Tom Brady play and see when he has a 3rd and 3...9 times out of 10 he goes for the 1st down i.e. short pass..What do we do we run a play and throw it 20 yrds down the field on a low % play. it is completely ridiculous. Secondly McVay doesn't run the ball enough. Look how we started off the game. 2 running plays = 12 yrds. Then what does McVay do??? He passes 3 consecutive times. So frustrated with this F'N midget

There was a lot not to like. Then again the backlash on this forum if he hadn't run the ball on 3rd & 1 would have tiresome. We are limited. Henderson isn't a good pass protector, Stafford doesn't run a jet-sweep system well, and we have limited depth at the skill positions. I wanted the play-calling to be taken away from McVay in early 2018, but it hasn't happened as of late 2021 so it's not going to happen.

The bloom is off the rose and the 'blunder' boy has replaced the genius. I think Belicheat is still banging around his head. He needs to grow up, grow a pair and realize his limitations like any man does in life...somehow his incredible memory has erased the success he once had with ball-control running and throws to move the sticks. Apparently the big flash plays where he can sprint down the sideline to high-five his receiver are what he lives for. I just don't see him learning from his mounting mistakes...he is headed for early burn-out I fear.
