Morris needs to be gone...NOW

I've gone back and had a look at the Rams' defense these past few games. Many of the problems are not that subtle:
(1) DL and linebackers practically invite opponents to run between the tackles ...terrible pre-snap alignments and even worse pursuit angles once the ball is snapped;
(2) DL often fails to maintain pass rush lane discipline and leaves the edges or center of the field open for opposing QBs to avoid the rush;
(3) Blitz packages are almost laughably simple and predictable.

Much of the above centers on a poorly coached defensive unit. The DC is clearly in over his head. Period. The result is that Morris' defense as a whole is far worse than the quality of the players he is coaching.

McVay needs to make a mid-season change at DC. Either that or the season's a lost cause.

No argument here. It may hurt the morale short term, but yeah he is just not the guy. We will have to see what he does this week and going forward. I think he knows his job is on the line and he knows what needs to improve. He's probably reading this now. But boy- "go out there and make a play" is a far cry from disciplined game plans.

Agreed .. Morris must go! This defense has waaaaay too much talent to be performing the way they have been. This should be the BEST defense in the NFL. The lesser known guys need to step up and contribute! Too many missed tackles except for Ramsey.

I also believe they don't have the personnel in the front 7 to dominate anyone. their ILB's are beyond weak. Several of us have been screaming about this for 2 yrs. Somebody besides AD has to step up on the DL. Miller obviously isn't healthy yet. You never seen him get dominated like he did in SF. Taking advantage of GB's 3rd string LT this week is going to be the key to this game IMO.
