9'ers made a big mistake, his game does not translate to the N.F.L.....buuhhhahahaha

The 9ers are saying he had an MRI and it isn't a serious issue. They are keeping him around during the bye week for treatment. JG10 is also undergoing treatment and could be ready to play their next game vs Indy after their Bye also.

The guy runs the ball way to much, it was bound to happen.

yeah I watched that game his style is beyond wreck less. he won't be in the league long if he continues to play like this

16 carries. Ridiculous if your the 9ers. Trade up for your future and play him like that. He won't last long.

I watched most of that game. Trey Lance does not look good. Granted it was his first game. I'm hoping the Whiners trade the Rams' bane, Jimmy Crappolo, soon. I'm really not too worried about this Lance dude at this point.

That’s the number one problem with the modern “dual threat” QB. Sure you get the flashy plays, but your QB will inevitably get beat up and possibly injured. These designed QB runs business some teams do is for the birds IMHO.

I think it is way too early to say this pick was a mistake. he has looked good at times. he needs to stop running the ball and most importantly taking big hits. This isn't D2. every time he tried to run around the end they ran his ass down quickly.

Agreed. I need at least 3 years. With that said, at this time, as a Rams fan, I rather see Trey start over JG.

no doubt when JG gets healthy he will be the starter

The 49ers did Lance no favours putting him on the field with a pistol offense and a Kaepernick Mk II scheme. It might be what he'll be most successful with in 2021 but he won't learn to be a franchise QB using it. Either red-shirt him and take the loss with the #3 or let him learn the hard way.
