One of my biggest regrets in life is not going to the Super Bowl. I was about to get married and instead of spending 1K to go I decided to save the money. Looking back on it that was a huge mistake...

Was a magical year for sure. KW is still my favorite player all time. I wish he would of won a SB with AZ as well. Great person and one of the best QB's of my life time...

It was the strangest, most glorious season as a RAM fan. I choked when Green went down. All pumped, watching live, saw what I considered another horrible cheap shot by that psychopathic short stop who was playing for the Chargers. Won't even mention his name. Heart sunk, so high on the Faulk trade, Bruce recovering from hammy hell and all the promise of Holt, the TEs, Defense and Vermeil getting a real shot at a run.

It was the only time I ever taped (tape?, yup VHS) every game starting with the last game of 1998 with an unknown Kurt Warner starting at QB against the Niners. Very average, really showed no potential and nothing special. I knew we had traded for Green so I didn't see any hope with crying DV saying "we will rally around Kurt Warner and play good football" Bah, ha, haa ha hahhhhh.

I never watched every play of every game let alone taped them all. By the time Kurt threw 3 picks against the Ravens and still won, absolutely destroyed the Bengals and began their roll, the stars aligned and I felt good. Az, Holt, Bruce, Faulk, and yes "who is this guy?" Kurt Warner began to blow up. The TENN and DETROIT games brought me back to reality in a hurry. 2 losses in a row at midseason but their schedule was weak, the field was bleak and the rest is history. We won it, we deserved it and for the first time as a RAM FAN I felt destiny was a real thing. Lombardi baby.

I remember the Tennessee loss because after we were on the verge of coming all the way back, the Titans took out Jeff Wilkins on a cheap shot and we had to go for six at the end. I blamed Fisher for that bush play and was hoping he would go to Miami instead of us in 2012.

I remember being pumped watching a pre season game against the Raiders when our first team offense was moving the ball like crazy on them and every pass play was wide open

When Green went down my heart sank and I gave up on the season

Didn’t bother going to sports bar to watch first game,I was so sure they’d suck

I remember watching the Atlanta game and when the Rams went up by 21 I started getting excited

I remember I kept trying to temper my excitement all year to not get my hopes too high

When they beat minny in playoffs I told myself “there’s no way they beat the bucs”

Then it was “ no way they win the Bowl

I remember me and my brother watched that game in his man cave and I remember jumpin around screaming while Ike ran into the end zone

And then I gave up hope again as McNair drove the Titans down the field

I was sure they’d score and then convert a two point try for the W

And then Mike Jones made a miracle tackle and I was screaming again “ the Rams just won the Super Bowl”

It was quite a pleasant surprise

I remember it well. I had just started a new job and was in training. Because I was in training I was off every weekend.

I was at the local sports bar every single week (EAST COAST) begging for someone to show the Rams game for me. Somehow, I was always able to sweet talk my waitress and I didn’t miss a single game.

That season was the pinnacle of my life as it relates to football. I can only imagine how nice it would be if we could every put together a dynasty. Being 1-3 in Super Bowls sucks. I can’t imagine how Bills fans felt after making it back and losing year after year.

I remember in 80 playing football on the asphalt parking lot of the Missouri Compromise restaurant and bar in Lake Forest CA where my GF worked. We were smashed and diving over cars at halftime. Got worse after the gut wrenching end of that game.

The 00 SB was such a nail biter. The Rams missed so many opportunities to score. Then Rev Ike put the downfield move to go get that ball Warner threw while getting hit. Dude had an angel on his right arm. TD in the biggest moment in front of the world for the winning score. Woot!!
No parking lots that game, just a house full of Cali Rama fans jumping out of the windows!

That must have been amazing, J85. Kudos to you sir.
Thanks DM. It's not just the game either. I went with a good friend who is also a Rams fan. The spectacle surrounding the game was awesome.

So it was almost worth missing maybe? But, im sure you had some awesome kids, so most def worth it I reckon.
I don't regret the marriage I regret not going to the game. Looking back on it that 1K meant nothing when it really comes down to it but seeing that game live would of meant everything to me. The money would of been gone but the memory would of lived forever...

That season…………. Me and a buddy went to Legends in Concord, Ca for the first time after someone during the summer in a restaurant saw me with a Ram’s hat on. Asked if I was a fan lol and I said yes and he said he was also. Then asked if I watched them and I said yes at a small sports bar in the area. Owner put us only 3 Ram fans on a small TV with no volume. He then told me about Legend’s, how 40-50 Ram fans showed up every Sunday, and they had their own room on a big screen. Said we needed to come over. We did opening day and remained there for the next 4-5 years. Hell of a lot of fun watching our team in niner country with that many Ram’s fans with that atmosphere.

That first game positive group, new year lol, but you could see the pain in many being a Ram’s fan. And now we are starting some arena football QB. As game went on against Baltimore we were like huh QB isn’t bad. By Bengals game we were besides ourselves and blowing the roof off Legends. Great times.

Not sure if I enjoyed this game more or the Super Bowl win. 49’ers at Rams. Isaac Bruce torn it up. The video of course is hosted by YouTube and you’ll have to go there to view it.

How could I forget? I have the front page of the Post-Dispatch, special edition of the Post-Dispatch, the SI Super Bowl Champs edition. I kept everything even after the move. That season was magic because we knew all of them. I worked at Circuit City in Bridgeton which was right around the corner from Rams Park, and they were in there all the time. I sold both Torry and Ike their camcorders. Ernie Conwell was the most unassuming, kindest athlete I've ever met. Adam Timmerman and Big O were really down to earth as well. I watched every game of the year on the biggest screens available and watched the NFC Championship game after we closed. I was so drunk at the Super Bowl party I don't remember much after Ike's catch, but I remember The Tackle. Froze my ass off at the Super Bowl parade and it was the biggest party I'd ever seen until the Blues won the Cup in '19. THAT was the biggest party I've ever been to.
