Blocked punt might have saved the game

Sounds crazy but if punt wasn't blocked, would it have been surprising to see Carolina drive down the field and score regardless, without any time left on clock for Stafford comeback?

Block punt, short field, Carolina couldn't eat up the clock on their last drive.

i would rather us not basically have given up a blocked punt for a TD, lol... also would not have liked a hold that killed a promising drive near mid field first down after the 7 yard run.

I was thinking the same thing at the time-might work out ok given the time left on the clock

On the blocked punt what was Tanner doing? Get him off of special teams. This makes no sense

Almost have to agree, since is almost a given that they will let the other team drive down the field late in the game. It doesn’t matter who the opposing qb is. It’s not just the rams. The whole nfl is turning into this. Exciting in a way but too much of it. It’s becoming the nba. Do we even need to watch the first 3 quarters of any game anymore?

Wow. Unreal. They better take notice and bench him for that.

Yes. Which is a testament to our lousy defense.

So true….when the Bears game was 21-3 early, I said to myself that it was still going to come down to one play left in the game.

I thought the same thing myself. Aside from yesterday, which doesn't really count due to the time left on the clock, when is the last time the Rams got a stop on D to close out the game?

True Rams D is horrible, but it not just the Rams
Steelers vs Ravens came down to the wire
Green Bay vs Bears came down to the wire.
It's crazy how all of these games seem to come down to who has the ball last and who was offense execute in the last minutes of the game

If you mean in a close game.... week 5 vs the Colts. It was 20-20 in the 4th Q, the Rams D forced a punt on Indy's 2nd last possession of the Game and picked Jones off on their last. Sandwiched in between, Atwells 88 yard Game winning TD catch!
The 7-1 Colts went on to lose 8 of their last 9.

Jags vs Buffalo looks like it's coming down to the final drive too
