Hawks + Niners

These 2 teams just look more locked in and focused than we do - particularly the 49ers with the number of key injuries they have....based on our performance on D + STs I am not optimistic at our playoff chances....not trying to be gloom + doom - just realistic...
The X factor(s):
Roger Mcreary activated from IR - does it help the secondary?
Quentin Lake back from IR (for the playoffs)
New ST coaching - improved????
Davante Adam's back (for playoffs) - restored consistent red zone threat????
McVay learning the hard lesson from playing too conservative with a lead ????
We'll see....

Right now both Seattle & SF are better than we are - hate to say it but IMO it is true. Another key issue no one can evaluate how badly the Seattle collapse has negatively affected the Rams players psyche. Maybe we will find out tonite. We have taken a huge tumble backwards in the SB Tourney as a result of our own meltdown.

Side note:
I was sure the Bears would win last night....my impression: Caleb is good but not quite ready....and their secondary sometimes looks like ours....

With the game on the line and having one final play to win it, Caleb Williams looked a whole lot like Josh Allen had looked earlier in the day within a similar situation, facing a 'make-or-break' two-point conversion attempt.
"Nope, I'm not feeling it right now...!!"

Niners were 6-4 after we blew them out in candlestick. They’re 6-0 since
Seahawks haven’t lost since we beat them and made them 7-3. Also won 6 straight.
SF basically in 2 games scored at will against Indy and Chicago. Their defense isn’t good. Like worse than ours so their offense will need to be perfect. But Shanahan has impressed the hell out of me this year. Not like they have weapons galore either.
I don’t trust Sam Darnold at all. He was pretty bad again yesterday but their defense bludgeoned Carolina. Seattle except against us has had an elite defense. That was a Thurs game so who knows. Maybe rams offense just that good.
Saturday night will be interesting. I wouldn’t bet against SF. Let’s go 2-0 and send one of these clowns to Philly.

San Fran is going to kick Seattle's ass. I have very little doubt about that.

Who knows when Caleb will mature in the area. He had the same problem in College. Watched every SC game, he could not win the big games when they were on the line. Like ever.

Yep, Darnold will fold like a cheap suit. Just watch.
San Fran will wipe the floor this Sat ngt w Seattle I reckon.
Also, another advantage for san fran is Shanny has much more experience in big games that matter... Although Seattles coach has been a stellar D-coach in Baltimore and now brought that Defensive mentality over to Seattle now, the issue will come back to one thing, and that is Darnold. Just like Caleb Williams, you can tell when QB's have that elite level of winning the BIG games... Caleb Williams and San Darnold did not have this at USC and they also do not have it in the NFL... this may change w these two, but right now, I dont see it.
My money is on that Darnold will implode
When you got it, you got.

I think SF beats the Seahawks at home. I’m taking the better QB and Purdy is better. 49ers did ok with Mac Jones, but they are a different offense with the way Purdy has been playing since he came back.
49ers can stay home thru the Super Bowl if they protect their home field.
I think Seattle loses Saturday, and then they lose at Philly. And Darnold’s year with Seattle similar to his with the Vikings where lots of regular season wins but nothing in the playoffs

It’s funny. Darnold is in same situation as last year. He was playing for 1 seed against Detroit on the road week 18. Lost. They fell to 5 seed and lost to Rams in the WC round.
Easily can happen again.

All the Talking Heads are fixated on young QBs and 9ers, Seahawks, Bears, and Patriots.
Time to stand up and show the League who the real MVP is and who is the eventual SB winner: Let's go Rams!

Yeah, my guess is SF wins the division and gets 1st seed. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Rams vs Niners NFC Championship game.

There were a couple of times where he had a receiver wide open to keep drive alive and he overthrew him....he was on the run from pass rush mind you but the throw was doable...

Exactly . Also much better roster construction, they have depth . TRent Williams goes down , backup comes in and play at the same level. Just ONE example.
