Seeing different scenarios : IF the Rams win out - AND Seattle and SF each go 1-1, do the Rams clinch the NFC West ? I know Chicago is now in play for the 1st Seed.

Several sites say this scenario gives the NFC West crown to the Rams ?

I believe that if all 3 lose 1 out of 2 and the Rams go 2-0, then they can reclaim #1.

I also believe that I could be wrong.

Went to several legit sites - another noted Rams-SF tie breaker goes to item 3 giving SF the crown with better 4-1 to 3-2 division record. This is if they are in a 2 team tie.

Why even worry or have concerns. What’s the point?. We land where we land because of our own doing. Is what it is Ron. Sorry… guess I’m still miffed about the Seattle loss.

As the saying goes…. ‘Kill’em all, and let God sort’em out…’

We can still win the west, obviously we need to win, bears need to beat the Niners, and then Niners need to beat the Seahawks, and the Niners will be 12-5, Seahawks and Rams will be 13-4 but Chickens will have been 3-3 in division, Rams 4-2,

To me plenty to play for and all is attainable - telling me SF is a given to beat Bears ? I do not see that as a given . Seattle can be beaten by SF next week for sure. If this scenario is correct for seeding, it can happen.

exactly . they all need to LOSE 1 game .

Seattle and 49ers play each other so one of them WILL lose .

Bears is playing the niners now so one of them WILL lose .

We only need seattle to lose one ( and it has to be against the niners next week )

That means that the niners NEED to lose against chicago now .

AND then we need chicago to lose next week against the packers.

So , we need :

chicago win today
SF beat seattle next week
chicago lose to packers next week .

We need a combination of ALL this .

So like utah said , we are on the ROAD !

it is not just those 2 results . We will also need the bears to lose NEXT week or else they are the number 1 seed.

Lions must beat Bears
Rams must win out

Is there a scenario for the Rams where it is better to be a low seed due to "easier" play off schedule. Minus home field and week off?

exactly . I just made a confusion about the packers , it is not , it is the lions . And let's remember the lions are OUT , so they won't be playing for anything other than pride . If Bears beat 49ers today , we still have a chance but if they lose , it is over.

not likely . The fact that you have to go on the road and win 3 games can't compare to being home and only 2 games . The opponents are all about the same talent level , so the key difference is NOT having to go to a bad place to play and having ONE less game to reach the playoffs. Path for the number 1 seed is 300 % easier than the rest.
