This is why PFF is mostly a joke. We all just like to see some sort of rating, its our human nature... but these boners over at PFF think they have it figured out... and sometimes they do, but overall... PFF is just not that accurate and NEVER tells the full story

Good points- the ratings given DO NOT meet the eye ball test for the D players in the game we watched.

I hear what you are saying, but the safeties playing so far back didnt help. It isnt the DL fault when he takes on his man/blocker, but there is a extra blocker bc the safeties are off the LOS back in coverage. Carolina consistently had more blockers in the box then the rams had defenders bc the safeties played so far back much of the game.

I will never understand why we play guys 20 yards off the ball when it’s 3rd and 5. Blows my mind. And we keep doing it…

And this is not Shula only . Morris was the same thing . Wade too and Staley too , to some extent.

I am starting to think it has to do with Mcvay . I am not sure he let's the DCs do whatever they want. Maybe this is his " input " on the defense.

I think The only reason some DCs deploy that scheme is because they are afraid of a big play . I can't see any other reason . And I guess it is ok if you are playing Allen Or Mahomes but Young ? Purdy ? MAc Jones ? Hurts ? Makes no sense at all .

Yeah
He didnt practice much during the week due to injury and there was some doubt if he would play or not. He went ahead and toughened it out and played well but on a limited snap count.

Rams need a pure run stuffer to back up Pooh at NT. Ty Hamilton is a rookie, raw project. Hopefully Shula and McSnead address this. Unfortunately there might not be much available.

that explains our run defense yesterday . Also , we miss LAKE , a lot . We need him back ASAP and we need ford 100 % healthy or else teams are going to run down our throats every game
