This is why PFF is mostly a joke. We all just like to see some sort of rating, its our human nature... but these boners over at PFF think they have it figured out... and sometimes they do, but overall... I hear what you are saying, but the safeties playing so far back didnt help. It isnt the DL fault when he takes on his man/blocker, but there is a extra blocker bc the safeties are off the LOS back in coverage. I will never understand why we play guys 20 yards off the ball when it’s 3rd and 5. Blows my mind. And this is not Shula only . Morris was the same thing . I think The only reason some DCs deploy that scheme is because they are afraid of a big play . I can't see any other reason . And I guess it is ok if you are playing Allen Or Mahomes but Young ? Was he hurt yesterday ? why take him off the field for 20 snaps ?
He didnt practice much during the week due to injury and there was some doubt if he would play or not. He went ahead and touched it out and played well but on a limited snap count.
Rams need a pure run stuffer to back up Poohbat NT. Ty Hamilton is a rookie, raw project. Hopefully Shula and McSnead address this. Unfortunately there might not be much available.
