Shocker. Saw this a minute ago... honestly, will miss both these guys, but they have not been playing great this season, especially Havs imo.. so, next man up.
We wil be fine.
Good thing we now have a loaded TE room, but the OL... thin... Need to figure this out. Thank goodness we just don't hear the name NoteDoom anymore.... anyone but that dude. (Im sure someone is going to post now how great Boom has been playing at his new team though, BUT they cant, you know why? Noteboom has inactive a ton for the Ravens...)

I think we will be fine with McClendon. He played well when Havs was out a few weeks ago…….
I know Higs isn’t a huge fan favorite in here but this loss I think will hurt. What McVay has been doing I feel requires all 4 TE……..

Zero impact. More minutes for up and coming players. Let them shine.

Cant find it, but I am sure they will pull up Nick Muse form PS now, right? (guy we just signed a few weeks ago)

Yes Muse can be the backup
With the way Hav have been playing, McClendon would be a upgrade. Both Humphries and Quessbury can provide depth at RT. Both are vets

Lingering knee and ankle issues = Hav’s inconsistent play Sunday.
I think that Higbee turned an ankle in the 4th qtr when Nacua almost got a first down on 3rd and 20.

Wow. What a surprise. Higbee is hurt again. Any idea of the injury? Everyone has been asking for Ferguson so here we go like it or not.

Thats probably the last we see of both of them as a Ram

I don’t think Higbee is much of a loss. Allen/Ferguson can catch just as many balls.
Havenstein is a big loss though. I know McClendon played ok when he was in there but Havenstein has been a foundational RT for nearly a decade.
Lake I think they will still be ok.

I know this may upset a lot of people on here but the way I see it they are no big losses. Neither player has played well this season and both are way past their prime. I for one hope they both ride off into the sunset.
I'm happy for all they have both given but it's time to move on.

I'm with you... Havs has been steadily declining and Higs is never healthy.. i see this more as an opportunity for McClendon and the other TEs to shine.
Maybe if McClendon plays well, we skip an OT in the first round of the draft..

I was actually thinking the same thing when McClendon was showing to be equal to the other lineman when he was starting. That is average pass blocking, great run blocking.. However, im changing my tune after the Seattle game. Teams with a really good or better front 7 have and are going to disrupt this offense every time. That's Seattle, Philly, Houston and especially Denver.
So as the draft sits right now the Rams are in position to potentially draft the top LT.. I think you do that and eventually move AJ to RT (he has good experience there) That potentially could make the OL dominant and the offense incredibly hard to stop.

Havs is prob cover for McVay to bench him. The other 2 will be missed- especially Lake. Hopefully Muse gets some action to keep the 13 man O going with backups. Havs may have started his last game. especially if Warren plays well.

This is a huge opportunity for McClendon. If he plays great to finish the season, he becomes the RT for the Rams in the years to come.
He played well so far, he just need to play at a bit higher level. Make the Rams think twice about drafting your replacement. Prove that you are a good RT.

It’s McClendon’s year three, and it shows—on the right side anyway. I’m glad that they’ve kept him. Still, they can’t afford to not draft a top tackle again this coming year.

Agree 100%. They were both underperforming but getting the reps b/c of their vet status.
Save a lot next year and get their replacements the much-needed PT.

Quite possibly, however if so as Rams fans we should show them our full appreciation, over the years they have contributed a great deal to our team.
I'm figuring that they are the last remaining two of the Good Guys who were drafted by the Jeff Fisher regime, which I believe only ever selected four solid offensive players in the NFL draft over five seasons.
It would be awesome if each of them could get a second Super Bowl ring...
RAM SEASON!!
