A little bit of a pass rush would be a big help in slowing down the Niners

is that ok NorCal?

Not always enough time for the line to get there vs a dink and dunk. Gotta do like we did on the 1st couple drives and keep their plays to minimal yardage. We tackled better on those drives and were a lot more aggressive too. Just need to get back to that!
I swear to god the 1st Team that bans Prevent Defense will become a Defensive Dynasty!

It’s surprising that there wasn’t even one sack, but so many other things went beautifully.

totally agree BK, my concern is we are not always going to get flawless offensive play and I'm wondering where the heck this past rush went

It’s a great question, Slappy. I’m trying to figure it out, too, and played with some ideas in the “Where is the pass rush?” thread. I think that some defensive line priorities have shifted with the presence of Ford and Davis, and it’s been great not seeing RB’s have career days against the Rams. That seemed to happen regularly. Verse and Fiske aren’t getting the sacks they did last year, but the defensive linemen and edges are maintaining more overall control. Team game. I don’t know. It seems like there should be some sacks too. Last time they played SF, Jones was sacked to the point of barfing, and SF got the painful win. No sacks today, but it was a great Rams win. Maybe there will be more sacks in the second half of the season, starting with reminding Darnold of last year!

If the Rams aren't able to get strong, consistent pass pressure on Sam Darnold next Sunday, as they did during the 2024 postseason's 'wild card' playoff matchup vs. the Vikings, defeating the Seahawks could become highly problematical for our team.

Being reduced to needing to win 'shootouts' vs. decent opponents, that's hardly an optimal approach...

RAM SEASON!!
