As the 2025 NFL season barrels toward its midpoint, few matchups carry as much weight as the upcoming divisional showdown between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers. Scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, this Week 10 contest isn't just another game—it's a pivotal battle that could reshape the NFC West landscape and significantly impact the Rams' playoff aspirations. With both teams vying for supremacy in a tightly contested division, the Rams enter as slight favorites, but the stakes couldn't be higher for Sean McVay's squad. Let's dive into why this game is critical for Los Angeles, revisit their earlier heartbreaking loss, examine the current odds and standings, and explore the broader implications of the Rams' upcoming slate.

Sean… you need to have a discussion w two people this week…

first person is Chase, need to just cut that one off now. Thanks Chase, but it’s just not a good fit…Then the second is you, the man in the mirror. Can’t get out coached by your pal to the north anymore.

Sean needs to stop respecting the Niners and just pound the crap out of them.

We know how Shanny works/coaches, we have the better team… so let’s stop this crap and beat these guys by 14.

Bottom line… need to prove we are the best in NFCW/NFC and eventually the entire league.

Rams have 2 more appointments at Levi this season… this Sunday, then Feb 6.

Let’s do this.

How’s our injury list and then 9ers?

Don't repeat last game's mistakes. Play way tighter in the secondary. 1 issue solved. Jump out quick on them in the first quarter which will slow down CMC production. 2nd issue solved, 3rd and this is key focus 2 players on CMC don't let him leak out for easy flares, screens, or wheel routes and lastly don't beat yourselves.

This team is massively injured 14 players I count and that doesn't account for Pearsol, Bartch, Brendal and several other players who have injuries.

Stop all those fuckin' dink and dunk 4-7 yard passes. That's been working against everybody so we have to find a way to stop it. The DL has no time to get to the QB so bring another DB into the box to smother those routes. McCreary is historically a slot guy so throw him in there this week.

McVay needs to break tendencies and throw some new stuff at SF. Shula needs to come up with his best game plan of the season.

Stopping McCaffrey is the entire game. Don’t let him beat you…focus on him and the dink n dunk and we’ve got this. McCaffrey is shredding everyone, let’s not let it be us. It looks like Purdy might be back, but Jones has been pretty darned good.

I wonder how many of the players and coaches buy into this historical rivalry?

Purdy came back for 1 game and was awful and SF lost @ home to a Jags team we beat by 4 TDs.
Houston held them to 225 Total yards and shut CMC right down. There's your blueprint Shula!

Just a huge next 2 weeks if this team is going to win division. I still feel they are in good shape, barring injuries, to make playoffs but you need to win this Sunday and at least split with Seattle if you want to win division.

Sunday? The game is about Rams D n Niners offense. I’m confident McVay n Stafford will finds ways to score Sunday. Just protect the ball.

I agree with others stop CMC. But it is also stop Kittle, Jennings, n Bourne. D is going to have to be damn good on Sunday.

It’s unlikely that Purdy will play, and now the Rams should know how to play against Jones. Do what Houston did. He’s still dangerous with Bourne, and Jennings and Kittle are coming back to their old selves. Somehow McCaffrey seems to be getting stronger each week. It’s always a very tough game. The Rams have to be aggressive and not let up. If there are no turnovers and no missed kicks, things should go well, especially with SF’s defensive gaps. A healthier Giants offense would have beaten them last week. The Rams are pretty healthy.

It looks like Pearsall is out. He didn't even practice Wednesday.

I think the biggest difference this time vs. last time is Fred Warner. We win that first matchup without Warner and we win this one on Sunday.

With Whittington a DNP, we could be without Atwell and Whittington. We've been relying on the TE's but XSmith and Mumphield will need to play a role. If they key on Adams and Nacua those two guys need to be ready and not drop any balls. Good playing time experience for both of them.

The articles full of shit as usual.
The 9ers didn't hand us anything, we outgained them across the board.
We handed it to them Losing the TO battle 2-0 and the 2 K blunders.
I see 9er propagandists are still as unqualified as ever and make you want to see their team get punked more than ever.

Niner injury report...that's a lot of banged up defensive players. Warner usually kills us and his replacements are playing pretty well but I still see a huge opportunity in the middle. We should have continued success with 13 personnel and the rushing attack. They didn't see all those TE's coming at them last time.

Out
WR Ricky Pearsall (knee)

Questionable
QB Brock Purdy (toe) not starting
LB Dee Winters (knee)
LB Tatum Bethune (thigh)
OL Ben Bartch (ankle)
DL Alfred Collins (hip)
DL Kalia Davis (ankle)
DL Keion White (groin)

Inactives are reported one hour before kickoff.
