Ok people...that game is over, it's been 24 hours, let's move on

We know Rams should have won but we didn't...We play the Ravens in 9 days and in a strange way I feel the loss against the Eagles and the disaster last night with the 49ers will bring out a side of McVay that we've never seen before. This happening twice within a few weeks will help not only McVay but the team moving forward. The Rams will be ready for the Ravens and will beat them. We will see the 49ers again as well as the Eagles. We are 3 - 2 people, last year this time we were 1 - 4, but yet, we came 13 yards away in a snow storm in Philadelphia from beating the Eagles and coming one win away from the Superbowl.

I've been a Rams fan for 48 years since 1977, so I've seen it all. That was a tough loss last night, but sometimes bad things need to happen for better results in the future. The Rams will recover and I feel the team will soon be acquiring a top notch CB via a trade, mainly because of what happened last night. So good will come out of last night. We have a very good team and we are only a couple plays away from being 5 - 0. So hang in there Ram fans, change is coming and we will be ok and this team will still win the division, and we going to the playoffs and get it done.

Agreed. I uttered every compound swear words that are in my mental lexicon; it was somewhat cathartic.

Now I want to see some change; meaningful adjustments, demotions, and promotions or acquisitions.

The entire NFL watched that game and took notes.

The last time I checked, the Rams won a Superbowl just 4 seasons ago...The 49ers haven't won a Superbowl in 30 years!! We're talking 1995 folks. Losing to them last night was tough, but we did make our presence felt as I'm sure they are feeling it today, especially Mac Jones because he got battered. The Rams will be fine people...we have a great team and Stafford looks fantastic!!

Sorry I cant. Thats twice in three weeks this team failed to execute when it mattered most.

Before I can get over it I need to know that the team have learned from it and I haven't seen it yet. Same mistakes are being made and no one is being held accountable. The holes on the team (secondary, Special Teams OL, rbs lack of hands and ball security) still hasn't been addressed. Soft D coverage returned this week and I dont know why? No explanation at all.

You don’t think I know all that?…….

Fine you are ready to move on. No issue with that. But I live in Niner land and well it’s not enjoyable especially after a game like last night. So yes a few of us need a few more days. Our prerogative……..

Oh by the way Mac Jones getting battered doesn’t change the fact that he lit are D up period………

Been a fan since late 80s. Been doing this awhile. Not going to lie. Yesterday I was the most pissed off after a loss I’ve been in recent memory. This isn’t recency bias either. Combo of my expectations w McVay and where the team should be, opponent and everything. I was livid. Idiotic football. More pissed than the last two Philly games.

No offense, but I’m going to need 72 hrs on this one.

Same. Eagles one was tough enough to recover from. This one stings more.

What makes it all worse, is we keep getting teased because it’s not like the Eagles/9ers flat out beat us… as we simply kicked our own a$$’s.

Bottom line, when we have this many mental mistakes… it falls on coaching.

Been a Rams fan since 1963; this loss ripped my backbone out. I need to see some tangible consequences from these unmitigated chronic disasters on Offense, Defense, and STs.
Let's put some players on the field that want to get it on. No friggin excuses; we play for keeps in the NFL. Tackle the ball carrier--no whiffs; punish defenders and protect the ball when wracking up YAC; for Christ sake, extra points/FGs should be automatic, replace weak links; protect our aging QB.
Time for some new faces on our 53. Don't piss the season away.

The game has been on replay this morning on NFLN. Couldn’t stomach watching any of it again.

This is such a strange team right now. They could easily be 2-3 or 5-0. Weird. Things need to look very different starting in Baltimore, which could be the start of some great scheduling luck. But will the team still be weird then?

We’re an average team. Our defense should get better. But we’ll probably just compete for a wildcard position and that’s about it. I don’t think we’re all that good. We’ll beat a couple of good teams and lose to teams we probably should have beaten. Nine or 10 wins.

Exactly. I need to see changes before I can move on and feel good about this team again.

Imo the loss is bad enough, but the rams have bigger issues.

The rams cbs stink, their safeties are above average at best, their rbs cant stop turning over the ball, Rams OL is mediocre, and the special teams ol cant block.

These are huge issues. Rams team overall lacks talent. These players needs to be coached up (which may not be possible), and/or more talent needs to be added (trade deadline still haven't come yet). Where the hell did this soft coverage D come from? I thought Shula was done with that. My guess is he knows his cbs are trash. I miss Ahkello.

This team, as of now (only early October) is not good enough.

Shula learned under Morris. He hasn’t brought anything new.

Nice positive post to exorcise the demons but - this team is not very good/ certainly not great . There are coaching and personnel issues despite the need of many on here to accept that as fact. When a FO denigrates the value of an entire position group ( OL - Secondary - ILB) by avoiding to draft quality players you will pay the price. IMO the Rams will get crushed by Baltimore if for no other reason than they are a very physically / emotionally tough group and McVays Rams are not.

Exactly . LEt's see if MCvay has the GUTS to make CHANGES that are more than needed . I am also not sure how much I like Shula anymore , he looks like Morris 2.0 most of the time . his defense was a JOKE allowing that eagles comeback , then a bad game against the colts ( we got lucky that idiot dropped the ball ) and now a HORRENDOUS job against the niners. IMO , the Shula experiment is ALMOST OVER . I want a freaking AGGRESSIVE DC like Fangio and Spagnoulo .
