Rams vs 49ers – Thursday Night Showdown

Yesterday’s 27-20 triumph over the Colts wasn’t pretty, but it was pure Rams resilience—a blueprint for what’s to come against San Francisco. Trailing by 10 in the fourth quarter, Matthew Stafford orchestrated clutch football, capping a 98-yard drive with an 88-yard bomb to Tutu Atwell for the go-ahead score. The Colts, in a moment of defensive comedy, had only 10 men on the field, turning what could have been a grind-it-out finish into a highlight-reel dagger. A costly fumble earlier in the quarter handed LA the lifeline, and the Rams’ defense sealed it with a late interception off Daniel Jones.
Stafford finished 28-of-38 for 312 yards and three scores, while Kyren Williams bulldozed for 112 yards on the ground. At 3-1, the Rams are clicking: Their offense ranks top-5 in yards per play, and the secondary—bolstered by Kam Curl’s play is creating turnovers that deflate opposing quarterbacks. This isn’t luck; it is the product of head coach Sean McVay’s (or, in this timeline, perhaps a Liam Coen-influenced scheme? More on that later) adaptive genius. Save your real venom for Thursday. The 49ers are next.

We win by 10+ on Thursday. SF is not the team from 2-3 years ago.

Slow down there sir... Every time we think this, the 9ers surprise us. I expect this game to go down to the wire. Does not matter what team is more dominant, the other team always plays at the same level.

I expect this game to be a Rams blowout. Seeing how I picked the last game score of 21-27 in favor of the Rams and missed the final score by only one point, I feel insightful

I am picking this game as:
Rams 41
49ers 17

I picked Indy to win this week. It took a 4th Q comeback and TD fumble for it not to happen. (Glad I was wrong.) I stand by my 10+ point win.

Vs the 9ers on Thursday and rummor is that Purdy has had a setback with the toe that kept him out of weeks 2 and 3. Mac Jones?
Then it's @ the Ravens possibly w/o Lamar, their ProBowl DT and maybe a couple other starters. Cooper Rush would be their QB.
Then it's off to London England to play them Jags at Wembly as the road team. Is anyone else seeing a good shot at 6-1 here?
I get the Any given Sunday thing, but if we play the next 3 games like we have the 1st 4, execute our game, we could be in great shape heading into our bye week.
As for this game, Are the 9ers finding out that Mac Jones may be a better option then Purdy? I somehow am more concerned about Jones then I was about Purdy because we don't do so good vs dink and dunk QB's.

Saleh always bugged McVay's offense pretty good. But things aren't the same this time. 1) Stafford is under center. It's made a huge difference so far by each games end. Especially for the running game. Previously against Saleh it's been shot gun. 2) The Rams didn't have a WR like Adams. 3) This might be the game Ferguson gets used as a downfield TE. If there was ever a game to uncork a surprise, it would be this one against Saleh. 4) Purdy seems to still be gimpy.. the pass rush might get theirs.
So in this one I think the Rams can win by around 10. Especially if they can stay consistent offensively for once.

Yes probably this. I am on Glendora's side. But after Sunday's game what Rams team is going to show up? It could be a very close game and or a blowout. Not a good game to bet on.

49ers Forum...
https://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/nine ... me-thread/
Some hilights for their forum...
• With all our injuries this may be a massacre
•34-16 Rams unfortunately
• 43-9 Rams
• How is it the Rams are always so lucky without injuries and during every game. They easily should've lost to the Colts. Should've been down by 10 points with not much time left. Again it's hilarious. They are so overrated. Hopefully, we have our all pro players back (Aiyuk, Kittle) and others like Muftafa (of course no Bosa) by the time we play them The second time because this week is a gift for them.
Who am I kidding, by the time we play them the second time around we will have to worry about more injuries. Meanwhile, people were worried about Matt Stafford and his back or even Davonte Adams and his hamstring and of course, not a thing affects them

it's better to be lucky than good I guess
• This game is too important to just forfeit…
• Boy it really makes you wonder if fans watch football. The Rams are tough son of a b***h team. We have our hands full with current injuries.

If he throws 20+ TDs this season, he'll be top 3 in franchise TDs. If he throws 30+ TDs in 2026, he'll be the franchise leader in passing TDs by beating out Roman Gabriel. Lol fun little trivia for you guys.

I'll be at the Baltimore game...trying to decide if it's wise to fly the colors or stay low key...Baltimore is not a friend zone for sure

Call it superstition, but I NEVER predict the Rams in a blowout. On paper...the Rams should win this game. But they also shouldn't have been down by 10 in the fourth to Indy on paper.
My reasons for confidence:
* We are running the ball very well
* Nacua is an absolute MACHINE - and it's only a matter of time until Davante and Tutu start to see more dividends
* Our run D just held Saquon and JT to very respectable numbers and CMC looks older
* No Nick Bosa

Ouch. Well never fun to see your stadium overrun with visiting fans. Pretty rare to that degree actually. Are the whiner fans
"better"? Or just more desperate for relevancy (when was their last Super Bowl?).
Whatever, it's always about 11 vs 11 on the field regardless where the game's being played. The Rams will just have to give the whiner fans nothing to cheer about - enjoy your ride home bitches!
Obviously Bosa out for the season is big.

You gotta wear the colors ;-) I survived Philly so you can survive Baltimore. It's a daytime game so you should be safe.

You have a care down there bagger. I wouldn't get too decorated up, if I were you, maybe a cap.
I'm assuming there's probably not a lot of Rams fans in Maryland.
Did you request tickets in the visitors section or do they have such a thing in Baltimore?

Defensively the Rams need to shut down CMC. He has had more success this year as a WR (31 of 43, 305 yds or 9.8 yds ave) than as a RB (69 for 225 yds or 3.3 yds ave). Put a spy on him on every play and force the ball elsewhere.
