Robert Saleh Claims Coaches In Sean McVay's Coaching Tree Have System For Stealing Defensive Signals

Saleh is apparently saying the Jaguars offense comes out in certain offensive looks to get the defense to line up a certain way and then possibly move to force the defense to signal changes. And the Jaguars figure out the signals and get in a better play.

And, he says, the entire Sean McVay coaching tree that stretches from Cincinnati to Minnesota, to Miami, to Green Bay and now Jacksonville, uses the system to gain an advantage.

"That whole entire tree from [Los Angeles Rams head coach] Sean [McVay] to [Minnesota Vikings head coach] Kevin O'Connell to all those guys, they all do it," Saleh said. "So, there's challenges. They're going to catch us in some situations where they have the advantage, and we’ve just got to play good, sound, fundamental football and do our best to out-execute them."

News flash Robert - EVERY coaching staff does that. If you didn't...maybe that's why your team sucked when you were head coach.

I think it is just like baseball if you can do it then oh well....just as long as you are not using technology I have no issues with it

I know it's apples and oranges, but I coach HS basketball and OF COURSE I listen too and look at the opposing head coach throughout the game. He holds up a fist, "hey guys run 41, they're in man."

Obviously not that simple but it kinda is. You're going to watch your opponent and try to get an edge. Again, EVERY coach does this.

I agree about recording, having someone in the stands, etc. But on the sideline...all is fair. Learn to disguise your calls better, Robert. And don't you get to talk to the green dot anyway?

What Saleh appears to be missing is that Rams coaches are also stealing his thoughts and encoding them into our game plan; I would recommend, as a psychologist, that he employ the use of tin foil inserts into his cap to protect himself while on the sidelines and in the booth. We are monitoring you all the time.

Go Rams!; eat s--- 49ers

I mean all the presnap motion the offense does is designed to figure out what the defense is going to do. But I think it’d be really difficult to audible out of it.

It’s not like these teams have screens dialed up every time the opponent blitzes.
