Not only a cool story, but a testament to persistence. He took every chance offered to him and worked rather than hang out on the streets, and wanting to work eventually led him to his chance. To his credit, he took it and paid off on it.

I've been a Rams fan for 48 years now and I've only bought 3 Rams jerseys, Dickerson, Gurley, and Aaron Donald...I'm buying my 4th jersey now, and it will be Byron Young!!
