I will put this game behind me and look forward to the Colts.
But, this was a huge mistake!

Guy was past him before he got out of his stance ..

What I find very troubling is the mental breakdown at this moment in the game. We're we unaware that this was for the win and there was no time left on the clock? Why the lackadaisical attitude?

Yep, but he should have still looked up right before the snap so he could adjust his protection.

Is there any footage just like this of any of the successful ones. I'd like to see if these guys played it the same on them.
There's talk Karty's not getting his kicks up quick enough sometime due to a lethargic approach.

There's a lot going on here..first off when Dotson went down it really hurt us on the Offensive line throughout the game big time!..Secondly our coaches aren't or haven't made any adjustments or corrections to help the guards inside..and yes Karty has a reputation for kicking a low ball in his career. Add in zero sense of urgency!..well you know the rest. Total shit show on this side of our game..This really comes down to the coaches and our players not doing their jobs!

this was not on Karty. Everyone is killing him right now on this forum but he had no chance of getting that kick off

I'd still like to see the same slo mo footage, both from in front and behind the kicker, of one of the successful ones, like I have with this one.
Also, if you check out the footage of the 2nd block from behind the kicker, it appears to me that the kick was not going to be good and was going wide left when blocked. Then go back to the view from behind the goalposts and it looks to me like if the kick would have been straight there was room and it would have been good. That's assuming the camera is central, so there's that too. I'd like to see if it was kicked lower and in a slower kicking motion then his successful ones. He made 2 50+ yarders earlier and probably was going to get one of Sean's Game balls before that happened. I'm not ripping on him, every kicker slips up now and then. And I'm not saying it's on just him or even him. Sometimes it's just the way it goes...

FTR it looks more to me that the line got blown up and that was the reason for both blocks more so then on Karty.
In the end, after consecutive game costing blocks, it's on whoever is responsible for that being the best ST's O-Line we could put out there.

I had forgot about this. The blocked kicked was the third in two games. Look at this alignment, how the RAMS ST did not address this issue.

Who the F is that 3rd guy in from snapper? Next to #50? 50 is Limmer - again terrible as he got blown up. But to the right of Limmer is who? Havenstein? Absolutely pitiful. There is zero importance or push from them. Just lean backwards to get blown up. I would kill these guys as ST coach. that's 3 blocked kicks. Get em out of there!! My hair is on fire watching this.

After the first block against the Titans. The ST’s coach should have made them practice all damn week.
After the second, put different guys in. After the third. ST’s should be collecting his last check.

Havenstein was on his back side.

each man needs to step down toward the center very aggressively, you don't fucking pass block on a fg, block them down into each other, they are obviously shooting the A gap, guard steps down hard tackle steps down hard and you have the angle, the kick should take 1-1.5 seconds, sheer stupidity

Like i say veaides more practice ofcthe play just move back a yard or two. Both blocked kicks were really easy to make the firstcone was less than 40 and thecsecond one was deom 44 yards so move back 1 - 2 yards problem solved.

No excuse to ever get back to back fg blocked. I still can't believe it. Every team kicks fgs. If you can't make fgs you are at a huge disadvantage. If the eagles missed one of their fg they lose.
Mcvay needs to fix this ASAP. One of the things he needs to do is stop running Limmer out there. So inexcusable

I agree- just score TDs and stop with all the FGs. That's a priority for McVay. BUT. Everyone needs to be able to come out with 3 points....and be able to kick a game winning FG like we had in Philly. It's the NFL and FGs decide games. Not to mention the PATs . The FG unit is VERY, VERY important as they put up a LOT of points throughout the season. Again- if I am a coach/player watching these COMPLETE shit show highlights- I am going crazy and putting in a ton of work to fix this. This is downright sad. 3 games and 3 blocked FGs. That's a problem. Big problem. These guys have zero idea how to protect Karty. FIGURE IT OUT coach!!!!!!

Indy watched this game; they will be testing us on FG trys. Just like last season with Kyren and his fumbles; They all smell blood in the water.
Get this fixed immediately; activate someone who wants to block; motivate the STs coaches now.

Put Poona Ford next to the center. We need our biggest guys to protect the middle. Other teams are going to see this and do the same thing.
