Ryan Wendell - Rams OL Coach

Seeing PFF grades out on our IOL & seeing what we all saw on Sunday it seems Rams play in this key area is declining. IMO Wendell is viewed as an up and coming young position coach who was a SB winner with New England as an OL. I was high on Limmer & not a fan of Shelton as a Center replacement. It appears both have regressed early this season in Pass Pro. and it is huge with MS as a very immobile Quarterback at this point of his career. Wondering just how big of an effect an OL Coach has on a units function ? For the record very aware of the DT talent Philly has - arguably the best in the NFL.

yes your last sentence says it all. Philly DL is legit and we all knew the Rams were very weak in 2 areas: OL and DB's and both got exposed this week. AJ Brown had a field day out there

It could just be we are short on talent in those 2 positions & coaching players up is not a given.

you can teach technique and blocking schemes all day long, if the TALENT isn't there, it makes no difference. The Ram lack talent. Even Avila seems to be regressing and the Rams backups SUCK

Due to weak interior Oline, we need to put more emphasis on 12 personnel; shore up this line.

Sorry- just posted a Limmer thread but you are sort of covering it here. I'm not sure what has happened to that guy. And I think Avila is also regressing. Turning into a softie- can't stay on field.

And it is a critical issue with a QB who cannot improve on his mobility issues at his age - really limits what the O can do.
