I thought the refs were going to start calling this rugby bullshit.

That's our ball. Yet another reason to ban this stupid play. Refs have no idea how to ref it. He's on top of bodies. Fumble.

It’s not a football play period. A ball carrier should advance with the ball only from his ability to get yards as well as blocks by others in front of him. Not by being pushed from behind. Hopefully this is the last year of this…………
I wonder if this is how Lane Johnson hurt his neck yesterday. Wasn’t it after the first one? If so I would think their OL may be getting a bit tired of it………….

This type of play was illegal for years. Then they made it legal. I don’t think they’d have issues getting QB sneaks w hurts.

I hope you are right....I get blockers running into the pile of a still moving ball carrier and blocking more/moving the pile forward. A straight up push from behind with both hands is rugby. Flag it. 5 yards and repeat down.

Hard to say . his legs were wrapped up.. they could argue forward progress stopped before our guy took it away

you almost have to wonder if the league allows this BS play because its so related to rugby style and the league is trying to win those fans?
I mean, sort of ironic we are one of the first two teams heading down under next season... just say'n...

Exactly...if they allow the player to still gain yards then the ball is obviously live.
The reason the NFL can't stop this play is because the Ref's don't know how to manage it...if they start calling it correctly Philly will start to use it less and less

What is even weirder to me about all of this as well, why are not other teams doing it all over the place? If the Eagles can get away with this game after game after game...
You know in practice, the Eagles go on the guards movement and NOT the ball snap. So damn obvious.

They jumped offsides on the first one but we made up for it when Adams didn't get called for the push off on his TD. Either way we had the game won and ended up beating ourselves. It's our own fault. If we had made either field goal we would have won the game plain and simple.

I thinks it’s bc Jalen Hurts is built like a RB, and other QBs aren’t. So his body can withstand the physical toll of doing QB sneaks like this where there’s force on him not just from being tackled in the front but being pushed from the back.
I remember watching USC/Notre Dame from 20 years ago now when Reggie Bush pushed Matt Leinart over the goal line. But you never saw it catch on and a lot of fans thought it was unfair.
You don’t see other teams doing it because I think most see a conventional QB sneak as just as effective with less physical damage to the QB. There’s no way with Stafford’s back that the Rams would ever have him do a tush push.
And I think it does create a slippery slope for the NFL if they out law this play bc you’d basically be outlawing offensive players from pushing the ball carrier from behind and you do sometimes see that when RBs break loose and their blockers catch up to them and push the pile forwards. I wouldn’t outlaw the play bc I think it’s just football.

Not sure which is gayer .. I mean in Rugby they just kinda tuck their heads between two butts grab legs and push, in the Tush Push, they actually put their hands on someone's ass and push
For a copycat league and something so successful, seems strange only ONE team is doing it
