In the first two games, he has been in on 51 snaps, and has 1 catch for 4 yards.
He is who he has always been.

I think it might be safe for me to drop him from my Dynasty league. I grabbed him just in case he finally had a break out year. I am not sure if it is Tutu, or the play calling. I did see him trying to put a block on someone near the line. I think it may have been a LB. At least he was trying to block.

Man, this is such a perplexing situation. I thought after we gave the man $10M, we would be seeing more of him... yet, we are actually now seeing LESS of him (compared to seasons past).
Right now, this is the easiest $10M anyone can make anywhere. Here is $10M Tutu, now go run around and act like we are going to throw to you IF you are in the game.
Just a puzzling move. What gives?

I have not done so but I would love to see how many times he is open without getting the ball. if he's jaking on the pass plays then so be it but if he's open then it's on Stafford and McVay

Well, Stafford is completing 70% of his pass plays so I am not sure I care WHO he is throwing to...although I trust Puka and Devante more than Tutu. I could see this being a concern if we were not completing passes.

But still, he's only been targeted 2 times in 2 games.
When you are WR 3, this list does not make any sense.
Shoot, our RB has more catches than Atwell.

I agree but the narrative on this OP is Tutu isn't doing his job so I was just saying I would like to go back and see. no big deal

I’m hoping it’s all been a setup for Stafford to throw beautiful bombs to him in Philadelphia, provided the OL holds up.

Poor use of $$ and roster space- either overrated and not a functional talent or McVay cannot/does not or will not use him.

ESPN has Whittington listed as our 3rd WR on their depth chart. He's better than Tutu. I'll say it again - if I was the Rams FO I'd call up the Chiefs and try to strike a trade...
He's one lucky S.O.B. No other team would of given him a 10 million contract. I have no idea why we did...

Lack of opportunities and targets. Nucua and Adams has been getting majority of the targets lately. They got to figure something out with him.

Stafford has always preferred throwing to bigger targets. Tutu may be open but throwing to a guy his size is a much tighter window, less margin for error than the other guys. He’s only on a 1 year deal but it would have been better to let him go and get back Demarcus Robinson

Someone will have to explain this guy to me. When we’re healthy, he never plays. Guess 1 year deal can never hurt you, but strange use of resources.

I am saving everyone's post so I can throw it in your face when Tutu has break out game. Toooooooo early to judge. I am still in Tutu's camp. Is it Tutu or the play?

I am also tired of people saying he isn't playing a lot because he can't block. well no shit but you didn't draft him that high to block. he is a burner so use him properly

I don't think WR3 ever really existed in the McVay years outside of the lone Brandin Cooks year. I think it's kupp/Nacua, etc.. and everyone else.

Great point and Literally 100% correct.
We dropped $10M for ‘that guy’. Don’t get me wrong, I like Tutu, but for this price, I would think we need to use the guy more.
Maybe this is the guy Sean pushed for in draft and he can’t come to the point to accept that Matt maybe just can’t find him on the field? I don’t know. It’s really odd

The only thing that I can finger is that Witt is better than *McVay thought he would be at this point. Both as a WR and a blocker. Because that's who we're seeing on the field more. If so, then kudos to McVay for playing the better guy over the money guy. That's rare.

Now THATS one grammatical error for the ages! I just spit out my drink! lol!!!
Ok, now that’s a good point. Never thought of it that way. McVay playing the best guy. Which is great

I think his time will come.. maybe starting next week.. i agree with others that its too early to tell...
In terms of blocking, i doubt he was extended for this purpose !

Diminutive Tutu is not destined to thrive in the NFL; look to Whit emerging as a consistent #3 WR.

if the OL can block a few more seconds, would like to see some deep Tutu shots downfield. Test those secondaries and open up the field.

You should. I think most of us are all in Atwells Camp. At least I want the dude to perform... especially for $10M a year. Dude is the fastest guy in the field in most cases... BUT to me, the question still remains... why did we give him $10M? Did another team try and snag him and Sean said nope, thats my guy?. Hmmm
