The Rams kicked off the 2025 NFL season with a hard-fought 14-9 win over the Houston Texans at SoFi Stadium on September 7. It was a physical, turnover-laden battle that showcased the Rams’ resilience, overcoming poor officiating led by the officiating crew headed by Craig Wrolstad, who has a history of bias against the Rams.

I think its clear the Rams have a top 10 defence. maybe even top 5.

Top 3 Defensive line... maybe they didn't get the stats but they sure made it difficult for the Texans.

When I first learned that this game was going to be officiated by Craig Wrolstad and his crew, I was worried, but I said "nah this is a new year, Craig and his crew wont continue to make sure they call every little mistake the Rams make while ignoring many of the offenses by the Rams opponents"

Wow was I wrong. Where were the called holds against the Texans OL? There were plenty.

Why was every little mistake, no matter how minor, were called at some of the worst times against the rams?

Craig and his crew has a track record of this nonsense.

While every NFL team wants a Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson. Mahomes etc..but they don’t grow on trees and we don’t have one..but what we do have is one of the most prolific passers in NFL history and a QB that can win a Super Bowl..here is my take on the Rams after Sunday..and this isn’t just after one game this is from watching them for many years.

1. Our Defense is good and going to get better..I believe we can win games defensively. IMO we have a top-5 NFL defense.

2. Offensively while we have Matt Stafford his inability to move and extend plays will be an issue. Our running game has to improve so we can use play action and get the ball out quick/slow the rush. When we get into 2nd - 3rd and long and obvious passing situations we are at a disadvantage because we are a pocket passing team. We don’t have the ability to run for 6-8 yards and pick up the 1st down and extend drives etc.

We can still win games but my thought is to be an elite NFL team you have to have the ability to extend plays / scramble / run for 1at downs etc. I do believe lacking that aspect will cost us in the playoffs

It will be incumbent on McVay and the staff to get creative and find ways to protect Stafford and give his receivers time to run their routes and throw the ball
