Obviously, there's no 'downside' with a UDFA, should he fail to work out due to (in this case) his lack of size for an O-lineman.

Steve Availa or Kevin Dotson might be sidelined by injury at some point, in which case Willie Lampkin could prove useful as a fill-in, should his college game translate reasonably well to the NFL.

Signing a football player from a basketball school, it has worked out successfully before... 8-) :idea:

Wow. I just watched several highlight videos of him and he was the most dominate player on the field. I'm looking forward to seeing him in the pre-season. Looking at the roster and how many players we lost compared to how many we drafted and added via FA I'm thinking at least 3 UDFA's will make the roster. If he lives up to the tape I watched I think he'll have no problem being on the opening day roster...

How interesting; I will need to check him out.
