WTF are the Rams doing this draft?

Why are we taking a 3rd RB in the 4th? How many carriers is this guy getting behind Corum and Kyren. Stupid pick.
No BU Tackle, no CB, no ILB all way more needs.
Ferguson was rated a 3rd or 4th rounder feels similar to the Tutu draft season.
You all can't tell me that Speights, Landman and Reeder give you any confidence? Same for an elevated CB room (maybe we pry Ramsey Alexander away but at what cost)? We need a solid back up Tackle maybe we have in the management eyes but these pick seem odd.
We needed a TE and OLB to replace Hoecht so those picks from a need sense are okay but how are we stopping Saquon if we get to the championship game again? I will say it to I am blue in the face this team has a blind spot(Achilles heel for ILBs we need fast sideline to sideline LBs to top the RVs wide and short over the middle and wide swing passes/bubble screens. Philly's first three picks were to improve their already good defense. FA was flawless the draft to me is meh. Sure I trust Les and I am sure these players are good but not taking a CB when Johnson/Amos were there to me is malpractice. We don't know if we are getting Ramsey or Alexander it is not a for certain unless some deal has been crafted.
Of course I like the #1 next year and if ATL falls apart that could make this draft an A+ alone but we all have talked about the NOW and the SB we reinforced the OLB/TE room so that is an upgrade but taking a RB in the 4th is u forgiveable he is the third RB with big holes still at 3 positions.
Add to my frustration by trading up for the RB and same for DT why do we need any more Data don't we have ENOUGH?
What is even worse they gave up at 4th in the 2026 draft for a DT this year we didn't need whatsoever an absolute F of a pick for no need, players of positional need of more importantance and the cost a 4th rounder next draft seriously?
I guess CBs and ILBs are not important?

I won’t complain. He was probably higher on our draft board. We needed a 3rd RB. RR is terrible. He could challenge for 2nd string. Looks like he has a little speed. I assume the CBs and LBs available were rated a lot lower at this point.

Maybe.
Rams did need a breakaway back to compliment KW, which Hunter is, but if KW wants too much $, Rams could roll with Corum and Hunter in 2026.

This team loves their prototype player. Undersized running back is basically a fetish for these guys. I guess this guy is more explosive.
This team isn’t drafting for need with any of these picks. I get there’s more depth now. But a backup o lineman or ILB wouldn’t hurt.

Some of you just dont listen. What part of I want to improve the skill positions on offense did you not hear a few months ago from McVay? He is doing exactly what he hinted he wanted to improve. You may not agree but…………

Yeah I'm not surprised either. Rams needed a back that can take it to the house, and Hunter can do just that. Hunter also has the great vision and physicality that KW has.
It would be nice if Hunter was bigger (which is his biggest negative), but if he was he wouldn't have been available in the 4th round. Hunter is a part time explosive back, which the rams did need

How many carriers did Rivers get, Corum hardly got many carries if Kyren and Corum stay healthy this is an F pick period and I base this one we want to win now the 4th round should try and help us do that not 3rd or 4th on the RB depth chart. This is no disrespect to the player we all hope he succeeds but what does this say to Corum.

Not so sure about that. KW might not get a second contract. Corum and Hunter could be the 2026 backs. While small like KW and Corum, Hunter is a breakaway back that can take it too the house. Corum explosiveness is closer to KW.

The difference is we needed a starter not backup at ILB and possibly corner and a backup at Tackle

Rams beat writer Jordan, said that the Rams rarely draft for the current year, they draft for the future.

They just said this was Sneads number one offensive player going into today. Time will tell (right or wrong choice), but with that, it's clear why the pick. If he's even slightly better at even/just short yardage, I'm good (sure I would have preferred Jordan James going RB there tho).
And Ferguson being the 3rd best rated TE? WTF does that mean? 3rd after Warren and Loveland? So? Who was the third best QB in last year's draft? (thus don't waste the draft pick?). Just such a simplistic measure. They loved the guy, and have been targeting TE's for two drafts now.
And an explosive edge? Wow what a shame, having little drop-off when Verse or Young are resting - that's horrible lol

Yes but is small, lacks breakaway speed, has had injuries and been ran alot the last few years. Depends on how much $$$

Depends on how good this kid gets. Always good to have some leverage. We need another good back behind KW. I just don’t know enough about his potential.

At the NFL combine, Hunter ran a 4.44 in the 40-yard dash (9th best) with a 1.58-second 10-yard split.
KW 4.65 in the 40 with a 1.65 10 yard split. One of the reasons KW can't break long runs.
Kyren 4.9 ypc his last college year. Hunter averaged 6.27

3rd to 4th on the depth chart is NOT improving the skill positions period he will not get any carries compared to Kyren or Corum so how is that improving anything especially if he sits on the bench?
We added Ferguson I don't agree with the pick but Les and scouts know more so I will assume that was an upgrade at the skill positions. We don't need any QB, nor WR we have 2 starter quality RBs and TEs now so what else needs to be upgraded?
Last I checked we lost the Philly championship game on super pourous defense with long breakaway runs culminating in TDs. Maybe that is what we need to concentrate on ya think?! Offense was bad at the first half of the season due to injuries this season barring injuries and adding Devante. Ferguson we will be better. We need defense upgrades and we only got a backup OLB which we needed and Ford a great pickup at DT/NT.

I wanted defense too, but at our spots, they've done some BPA. Really though, down the stretch, our defense largely carried the offense = not like the O couldn't stand for improvement.

Ford was a huge pickup. If Rams had Ford vs Eagles, Barkley wouldn't been running so easily, imo.

Williams seems to get hurt a few games a year, and Corum hasn't done much. He may have been drafted to replace Corum. Only time will tell. We didn’t have anyone behind Corum.
Evidently the Rams are not as worried about the CB position as us.

Look he is probably a great hidden gem and I hope he kills it but for a team on the brink of a SB our FA said win now our draft says win later. I advocated in the end to go for a 2026 first if we could get one for the future which strangely we got and am super excited and the right move whether it gets a top tier QB or not but the rest of the draft is suspect in terms of winning now. Like I said we need a back up TE & OLB so really good decision just was hoping to solve the biggest holes and we didn't.

Corum really hasn't had much of a chance to prove himself. IMO defense should have been more of a focus but at the end of the day I trust McSnead
