Warming up the the idea of SS at #26

Now, if Campbell is there that is the best option because he is a true ILB. He might need to start the season in rehab but he could work himself into a starter and difference maker come playoff time.

That being said, Starks and Emmanwori could be hybrid SS/ILB playing mainly in the box defending the run and covering TE's. I remember the impact Jamaal Adams and Budda Baker had in their primes. Adams was always a problem for the Rams it seemed.

would love to have Starks but I don't think he will be there at 26. dude is a total stud

You are probably right. Tampa, Minnesota, and Baltimore all need safeties. Cincinnati could also take him at 19.

I would be ok with that if Loveland, Jihaad and Simmons are not there.

I took got to agree. Starks can be that fast ILB/S hybrid that can cover the short middle and TEs the negative is weight.

everyone is saying the Chargers are going to take Loveland but we shall see. I think Simmons is the only one that may be there for us.

Of those guys I'd take:

Campbell
Loveland
Starks
Simmons

We have good safeties but I'm thinking about Starks as a hybrid LB. If we take Starks we'd still need to draft another pure ILB in the 6th.

Rams go defense first in mock draft, targeting high-upside safety

Not to be a homer, but I would love to get Starks. I just don't see any way that he is still available at 26. (He is one of the 17 players invited to the draft.) He would be great in our STAR position, and he is not afraid to tackle. (Rumor has it Vikings really want him at pick 24.)

I am with you and after listening to McShay there is no way he is going to be there at 26. would be very happy though if he fell

Yep, the Vikes, Ravens and Bucs all have reported interest.

But hey, Jared Verse was mocked as high as #8 to the Falcons last year and he fell all the way to #19. I still can't believe that one.

We shall see.
