Bottom post of the previous page:

Cornell29 wrote: January 23rd, 2022, 3:36 pm If you want to know why the rams traded for Stafford? Here you go. Offense has 4 turnovers, Tampa ties the game and takes the momentum, everything around Stafford that can go wrong, goes wrong.

Stafford still lead them down the field for the game winning score.

This was against the GOAT and last year SB champions, on the road.
EXACTLY .

You kidding me… at least 30.
But you know what, we didn't let them take the game from us in the end. Adios TB and Bucs. Rams are 3-0 vs them.

Yep.

That could be probably the most stressful Rams game I’ve ever watched. Top 3 at least
I remember feeling about like this during the last minute of both SB XXIV & XXXVI.

Nothing compares to the 2 and a half minutes between Ike's 73 yard TD catch and Mike Jones tackle.. but this 4th Q is up there

Yep. That’s in my top 3
Well bro
The roles are reversed from January 1990...
We're the Division Champ this time and Home team in the NFC CF and the 9ers are the upstart WC. We owe this team for much more then the last 6 meetings.
There's no bigger stage possible for us to whoop em ... this is the most meaningful game we could ever face them in, for a SB birth. And they're 1 up on us in that regard.
2 of the last 3 weeks when we got way ahead and we seemed to take our foot off the gas and both games got ugly fast. Cardinal game was the exception, got ahead and stayed there

What an amazing ride this season has been. Proud of this team and can’t wait for our shot at redemption against the 49ers…in the NFC Championship game! Bring it on!

What an amazing game! McVay def told Stafford to reduce the risky passes. I love that he’s pulling it down now or throwing it away.

It is extremely hard to throw any player and especially a RB who hasn't touched the ball or taken a hit for the entire year into playoff intensity football and not expect something like what happened to Akers today. Hopefully he is getting past it and his confidence isn't shaken.

On another note. Better uniforms equal better outcomes. Could that last drive occur if we were wearing the blue pjs?

We got thirty dominant minutes against the niners and it wasn't enough.
We got 40 today and it barely was.
We get a full 60 the next two games and it's SB champion time.

And BTW Stafford has not only won 2 straight playoff games, you can add 2 more W's against teams with a winning record, including one @ the 14 Win defending SB champs
Time to find some other nonsense to B about..

GO RAMS! It's our time!

If we win it all. I’m buying everyone in here forum drinks on forum bucks. 😝 I’m still shaking man.

Question, so another poster just posted arrowheads reaction to the Rams game.

My question…Chiefs fans seem to be stoked when we won… Is it because the Rams were part of Missouri or is it because they didn’t wanna face Brady in the Super Bowl if they went?
My guess is just wanting to see Brady lose. The KC crowd teases us pretty bad about them being the only NFL team Missouri has.

No one cares that the niners almost blew the rams game early, almost blew the cowboys game late and didn't take the lead against GB until late.

They still look at the niners as winners.

So what the rams almost lost to the GOAT on the road, they still won it. Are there things the rams needs to clean up, yes, but it says alot to still be able to win, despite all the turnovers and against a top team like Tampa on the road.

Strange that Michel had only one touch. Akers was definitely overused.
Good point.

bigklein wrote: January 23rd, 2022, 3:57 pm The Rams have to play a full 4 quarters. They overcame stuff today, and that is huge. Thank god there were no Stafford interceptions.
If McVay and the Rams don’t learn this from this fiasco and the last Niner game they never will.

Next week is the exam.
bigklein wrote: January 23rd, 2022, 3:57 pm I also think that McVay overused Akers, which may have led to fumbles; he should have given Michel some snaps. Michel has earned that too.
I’m totally perplexed on why McVay went with Akers exclusively, he wasn’t exactly reeling off long runs and Michel has shown he can escape tackles and push for the extra yards.

As to the fumbles, the one at the goal line was a perfect play by the LB but on the second one Akers should have had a more secure hold on the ball, same as the Kupp fumble, two turnovers that shouldn’t have happened and almost cost us the game.
