Bottom post of the previous page:
Here's how I rank the teams who could play against us (toughest to easiest)
Packers
49ers
Cowboys
Bucs
Cards
Eagles
I think we beat the Cards, but the Boys/49ers game will be very interesting. Boys have a better oline, so that may be enough. Then again, they were able to feast on the NFC East.

I guess from the Cards perspective the 49rs just set the blueprint for how to beat us with their 2nd half showing. The question will be, do the birds have the personnel to match that kind of output from the 9rs?
That blueprint isn't new...that has been the Niners model for several years and the Rams don't have an answer for that type of game...however, the Rams have the personnel to face the Cardinals type of game.
It's a match-up situation and the Rams don't match-up with the Niners and until they beef up they will continue to get slapped around.

We all seem to forget the glaring fact. We had this game won if it wasn’t for the horrible defensive schemes during their last drive.

First, I think the whiners are a legit playoff team. Elite? No, but who is? Green Bay and…hell this year has proved further extreme parity across the League if nothing else.
Plus whiners were playing for their playoff lives last Sunday. That's always a formidable game (potentially). And finally, they have had our number the last few years, so it was gonna be a fight (likely for any team playing them).
Rams dominated the first half really - whiner late FG was a shame after the first half. Rams actually tackled well for the most part.
2nd half was the reverse, as SF found the physical run game success, making moving the ball and making little Jimmy G's life so much easier. But I didn't see a total lack of effort or, poor scheming by Morris during that time. How many times did we see whiner running back completely surrounded by Rams helmets, only to break a tackle or two and slice thru a hole? Sure there was effective whiner blocking going on up front, but it was the number of broken tackles that shocked (frustrated) me. Rams in position to make a play, but didn't.
Rams bounced back to all but win it - it was a heart breaker of a loss.
The Rams on that last drive forcing the whiners to spend the time outs? C'mon, that's standard in the NFL. Whiners odds of winning after that was 1 in a 100 (or worse). And that final prevent defense? Yeah that's standard too I'm afraid (hence the 1 in 100). You absolutely couldn't let a whiner receiver get behind you. Unfortunately Debo turned a soft middle into a big gain (more missed tackles).
The Rams just didn't seem to realize the tackling needed to be tightened up. I can't explain it (over-confident after the first half, then panic when it slipped away?)…but the whiners won by three, and I doubt either team would be afraid to play the other again.
Rams 5th best odds to win the Super Bowl last I saw. Favored over Cards Monday. No time to worry about last Sunday…

Really? What playoff games do you have your eye on?
You really don't understand the NFL at all do you

thus simplifying your lack of football sophistication with scary stupid conspiracy theories, and sad little tantrums

Im not sure who said this morning, maybe it was a guest on the Herd.... They said the ONE team GB should be most nervous about playing is the whiners. Over Dallas, over us, over any other NFC team... At first I thought what a load of crock... then he went into the numbers, and although I cant remember every stat he threw out and records on the second half of the season, when he was done... I was like, holy crap.
The man could be right. The niners could absolutely pose the biggest threat to GB... ESPECIALLY if our RAMS cant pull ourselves together not have another second half like this past Sunday.
I don't think the Niners match-up well with Dallas....I actually like big D in that game

What exactly are you disputing? I've been right countless times now. I called both losses to SF.
I told you Raiders would make playoffs before the colts game.
You're in denial.
The Rams and Cards are fighting to lose the following game.

Where's that notion coming from?
Didn't you see yesterday's total collapse vs. the 49ers...?? :o
ram pathos...
I saw. If the niners rolled over us like the 1st game, maybe you would be right. We had the game won and gifted it back to them because our defense decided to forget how to cover anyone. No team is perfect and yes- we can beat anyone if we play all 4 quarters. And every playoff team can beat us as well. I don't think we have no shot as you do.
Ummmm, exactly where did I say that our team has "no shot" in the postseason?
It's certainly a 'long shot' at this point, but I never claimed that the Rams have "no shot" at all.
I did challenge your assertion that "We are as good as any team," since the Good Guys are demonstrably NOT nearly so good as the Titans, Packers and 49ers... :x :?

We continue to debate Sunday while ignoring this which is why this team lost Sunday……….
But go ahead the rest of you and continue debating all the irrelevant reasons why we lost……….

Agreed! I'm figuring by at least 10 points.
Rams fans tend to vastly overrate any team that kick's our team's butts all over the gridiron, which the 49ers did twice this season, so many of them are blathering about what a 'superior' team the 49ers have.
Well, only by the 'collusion' of the Good Guys are the 49ers even playing in the postseason, otherwise they were winless four-time losers in their own division... :(

Hope I’m wrong and you’re right, I call it like I see it, Rams are just too inconsistent and it is going to bite them in the ass.
