The team is still paying the price for the non call in New Orleans. No way the league wants the Rams in the Super Bowl. The club is paying the price for leaving St. Louis. I have watched the team play for almost 65 years and the Rams seem to always get hosed by officials one way or another. I saw the play you refer to. However, my friend I have seen the same thing too many times before.
That game was not decided by the ref's....the Niners controlled the LOS on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half and the D-line controlled the LOS for the entire game.

The magic number for the Niners was 30...as in rushes...I stated this leading up to the game and then Shanahan was stating the exact same thing (little puffing my chest out there).

Rams still should have won the game....I wanted McV to throw the ball to ice the game but I understood why he opted to run out their time outs....defense just did not execute...simple
Speaking of the refs, they were a non factor. The refs actually did a good job. Was there OL holding, yes, but they allowed both teams to play. They also didn't make any petty calls.

Good job refs, you let them play.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!!! I am not giving up on this team, but call it like it is, this was a critical game and both the Head Coach and the team did not come through!! There is something missing, I get the whole FAMILY thing, but does it allow it to be OK to under perform in key games? We will just move forward in the right way as McVay always says. We should expect a Super Bowl quality performance each and every game, sure we wont get that, but the 3 game fiasco and this loss have been an embarrassment on what could have been an excellent season!!! If we could have beat the Packers and Niners, we are sitting on the bye and home field!!
Yep, you nailed it!

Their 2-5 season record vs. other playoff teams says quite a bit about the Rams' postseason prospects, I'm afraid... :( :?

ram pathos...
