I'm just going off my head like I usually do and after checking, you are correct, he did not start the 2nd meeting, a game the Rams led 20-17 in the 4th Q.
Our NO.1 rated Defense let Nick Mullins drive twice for FG's in the 4th Q including the game winner on the last play. Proves my main point all along about the 2 defenses...

Yes the Rams Defense is the main culprit. But you cant blame Jimmy for that. I think we agree mostly about things, but until we, the Rams, get off the schneid against this guy, I, just me personally, will never say a bad word about him. I dont think he's great, I think he's solid. 11-16 range of Quarterbacks. And Ram fans in particular ragging about this guy (not saying you) who takes us to the woodshed EVERY time, I find to be in extremely poor taste.

One just needs to look at the 9ers 32-15 record in games he starts to know he's no slouch. And I agree, we need to send a message to them with him in there... next time out. I don't care what's at stake. I only say that because the Rams may not have anything to play for by week 18 and it looks like SF's season could depend on that game...
It'll suck if we gift them another win and a playoff spot playing our back ups...

There's an extremely minimal chance that that game means NOTHING to the Rams IMO. Whether its moving from 5 to 6, 6 to 7. I really doubt it. I dont think we gift them ANYTHING. They come to play and we come to sorta play. Dont knock the Niners for the Rams not matching their Intensity or Intelligence Head to Head.

I get that you can only play against who's lined up in front of you...however, I don't share the same sentiments you do regarding the 9ers..

Jimmy is IMO , basically what mike said , a 15-18 ish ranked qb . For some reason he seems to play his best against us and our defense seems to play their worst . Bottom line is that this needs to change. And yes , it is hard to criticize the guy when he has won the LAST FIVE MEETINGS against us ( be it close games or not ) . I know football is a team sport but just for comparison , I am finally a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu , if I fight another black belt and he beats me 5 times in a row , how the heck can I say he sucks ? He would be clearly better than me . I know the analogy is not perfect because like I said , football is a team sport and a complex one with tons of different nuances to those 5 losses , but still ....
