I focused on watching Allen. Bears we’re sending two guys at him most of the game. They apparently perceived him as the weak link. I think he held up very, very well.
Same Upland. I was focusing on Allen during Rams O and saw the same thing. Aside from a couple plays, the kid held up better then most thought he would. I’m rooting for him big time this season.

For a running back to gain so much yardage after contact like Montgomery did, means we have a problem. A problem that needs to be fixed now. Otherwise we can kiss any hope we have of a Super Bowl goodbye.
Agreed--overall, the tackling by our team's defenders was pretty pathetic...

I always thought the 1st game would be a blowout, but, we have a tough 4 games coming up. After that we will have a better idea where this team is this year.

Wow who would have thunk other than you how good our division is. Thank-you so much in enlightening us!
Keeping with the rules of this forum your threads and comments are the opposite definition of “refreshing” and “profound”.
Well maybe my comments will be more in "tune" once I see how we play against the Bucs. They are now 10-0 since adding AB. Then after the Bucs, we get Arizona and Seattle. After those three games I will give the real assessment of things. I hope were not all "crotchety" on this forum after those three games and we are all smiles!
Seriously please don’t because all you are trying to do is find that one game, those couple of plays, so you can say see told you so. Honestly the worst type of fan. Your posts are all about you. No one wants your assessment in here try to see such. You are trolling more than anything. Again your guy is now in N.O. go enjoy him over there.
And let’s see where they are at after those 3 games? A week 3 game in a 17 game schedule is not a measuring stick for how a season is going to go for a team. Hell there was a time in this league when 14 games still to be played was your entire schedule. Are you old enough to remember this? If your are the great accessor of this crap then you would already know this.

CONFIDENT
I believe the Bears are a better team than the Colts, so this Sunday should be more comfortable and we walk away from Indy with an even more impressive win giving us a 2-0 record.

+1. Year Of Ram, let's not overreact to a game or a series of games. We're here to enjoy the Rams season, not live in your predictions. I think it's safe to say barring catastrophic injury we should all have an extremely enjoyable one.
Tampa could beat us Week 3. We could beat them.
We beat them last year, THEY won the Super Bowl.
New Orleans beat them 38-3 and again in New Orleans, Tampa beat them in Playoffs then WON the Super Bowl. Please let's not go jumping to conclusions from Weeks 3-5 of the Regular Season. Us Ran fans are BLESSED with a great Organization. Great Owner who produced the Greatest Stadium in the WORLD. Great GM. Great Head Coach who when it's all said and done will be on the Mount Rushmore of Greatest Offensive minds. Great players. Great Quarterback. Golden Age of Rams Football.
1 team wins out of 32.
Dont make it about YOU.
Well said Mike.

Well, the Colts started out poorly this past Sunday, however I'd consider them to be somewhat stronger overall than the Bears, particularly on "O."
For the second season in a row, our team's "D" will be facing QB Carson Wentz in week #2--plus we'll get to see if the defenders' tackling has improved over this past Sunday. If it hasn't, this could be a rough game for the Good Guys.
Just over a half-century ago, Colts vs. Rams was a big-time divisional showdown... ;) 8-) :P

I was very happy with the Rams game. It was a very comfortable win. The Rams played it fairly safe and conservative. The Bears are a very limited team and will to be so until they integrate their upgrade QB. Dalton dinking and dunking wasn't going to generate a lot of points. The Rams were going to win unless they did something silly.

I'm not so sure the dink and dunk was all Dalton....The Rams were taking away the deep stuff and leaving the short stuff and running game open all game....Bears won the time of possesion.
If the Rams D continues to play soft they will find teams that will run for 200 -300 yds...Niners come to mind as they will definitely continue to run the ball till the Rams stop them

I would agree with that if TY Hilton was fully fit and available. Without him they're not the same on O so would expect Ramsey to mop up whomever their No1 receiving option is, whom if I'm honest, I haven't got a clue who exactly that person is..

About what I expected. I figured the Rams would start slow and be rusty because the starters did not play preseason. That was the case with the run game and the defense in the first half. They both clicked by the 4th quarter. Stafford was BETTER than advertised; if that was even possible.

So impressed with the deep pass to VJ. It takes a special type of arm/qb, who can roll left (right handed qb) and still able to throw a accurate pass, across the body, deep to a wr on the right side of field. Opposing defenses now have to cover the entire field even if a right handed qb rolls out left. That's alot of pressure on the opposing team and allows Mcvay to so many different plays and variations.

Damn good throw. Impressed also how quick VJ got down field.

The Rams didn't start slow and weren't rusty...everything was clicking except the run game and that wasn't rust....they were running with Stafford under center and getting nothing then in the 4th quarter trying to run out the clock they started running from the shotgun and found something...I expect they use it more against Indy.
I don't think rust or lack of playing the starters had anything to do with the run game and defense not playing well.
Of course those are just my opinions and I respect yours just disagree.
