I am with ya. But it’s was said in a press conference that the Rams gear was dead last for youngsters who were Rams fans. The rebrand was a huge part of an attempt to get young LA fans excited to represent the Rams.
Youngers would rather wear Clippers over Rams gear. And We Were Winning!!!
Rams didn’t become the 2nd most valuable franchise by sticking to old concepts and listening to old ideas.. let’s just accept that they did something right with the changes although clearly not to everyone’s taste.
Its the stadium. The Rams would not be the 2nd most valuable franchise if they were playing in the colosseum.

Yep

.…and imagine if the top teams for merchandise sales (49ers, Cowboys Raiders etc.) “did something right” as well and totally re-designed their appearance. What were the Raiders thinking when they relocated to Las Vegas w/o a complete re-do LOL

I don’t mind modern. I love a lot of the Oregon Ducks designs. A few fails, but mostly successes (their fans would tell you). Regardless, the Ducks aren’t afraid to roll out their true look of ‘70’s – ‘90’s, as they do it every season – fans still love that as well. The Rams problem is they went and decided for us what looked appropriate, failed yet didn’t care (how about a fan vote like they did in Pittsburgh?).

Again, as mentioned many times, at least have the balls to do the Dickerson and Deacon Jones era throw-backs. Nope, too chicken-shit via comparisons with the current failures.

Kids (choosing a team) like winners probably foremost. Then maybe family ties regarding sports allegiances. Finally sure the helmet and uniform look (which attracted many a Ram fan back in the day). Other than that, people will buy what's currently available.

That's all I'm (really) done this time

EXACTLY that post was laughable.. I had to read it twice to make sure I was reading if correctly.... Has absolutely NOTHING to do w 'old concepts and listening to old ideas and that we should just accept it'... 😂

Most of us in here know and understand this already, as a teams value includes the Stadium, offices, sports complexes, etc.... Thats the ENTIRE reason Kronk bought the Rams and moved back them to LA ... Rams almost tripled in value on the plane flight over from St Louis to LA.

Maybe this poster will fix the error of his ways?. But knowing him, he'll just dig in and look more like a ding dong.

I think that is kind of the point. New stadium new look. All shiny new. And it worked.

But new look has almost nothing to do w team value except maybe some extra fanatics sales…

I get it though, it’s a business and need to revamp. Even most all fortune 500 companies change their logo every decade or so… but again what makes this so different is that our helmets were so iconic…

we were right there with the Dallas and Raiders helmets, in fact, I believe the Rams helmet was the most iconic helmet in all the football.

Bottomline STL, I miss the solid horn my friend.

I agree… if I had it my way we’d be in the Eric Dickerson unis forever. With the alt being the blue and whites. The only part of our uni now that I like are the modern throw back Whites those are very clean.

Now THAT helmet would do. It shows the 3D effect that they wanted, without the fucked-up, gay break in the horns.

how do you think they fill the stadium with Rams fans ? (not 49 fans).. there are only so many old guys like us around.

Also note their valuation jumped a league high 38% year on year which will likely mean they overtake the Cowbows in 4 to 5 years if they keep it up. My point is that this is all part of a strategy to increase revenues and the value of the Kroenke's assets which involves getting the fickle LA crowd to attend games and buy merchandise. He is fully aware that he needs a winning product on the field as well.

I'm not sure why people are complaining here, we get a winning team but need to concede that some of the decisions are business decisions and will impact the traditionalists.

If Dumoff simply put them back in their classic LA togs no one would have complained at all. RAMS fans and football fans would have celebrated it. I think most were expecting it. No one was asking for a new uniform and helmet. Absolutely no one.

It stinks that the Elmendorfs weren’t brought back as the standard uniform. If they wanted to experiment with the broken/3-D horn, they should have made that an occasional alt uniform to test it out. But they didn’t.

Just hoping for a win Sunday. That makes even the worst uniforms look much better.

We're the Los Angeles Yellow Jackets or the Los Angeles Crescent Mooners.

Whenever I see that horn I think of a camera shutter. We're the Los Angeles Camera Shutters.

I like the old traditional look, but the midnight mode has grown on me and for a game it's fine. Honestly the only look I don't like is the blue on blue pajama look that freaks me out.

Sign of a good uni is how many fans wear then in the stands, they definitely were a hit on that account..

would be more impactful if they wore them in night games.

Didn't hate them. Like others have mentioned, I would deal with most of the different uni combinations if they didn't screw with the most iconic part of it......the Horns.

I actually really liked them.. I would make the yellow and black sleaves and pant lines darker but that is nit picking.

The helmet was outstanding.

Fans really liked them also.

Its suppose to be "dark" mode.

They should play these colours on a night game.

From the stands, the helmets did indeed pop. The rest of the uni was pretty bland, however. More yellow and blue trim, maybe? Bolder vertical stripes down the pants? Dunno. And if they added a hint of horizontal lines on the bottom half of the horns to represent ridges, it would look more like horns and less like camera shutters.

They might have sucked less then some of the moderns (helmet was a little better). But since we won a huge game in them, they can stay.

Fans in the stands aren't wearing helmets tho, which again is our teams biggest design fail. They are just buying largely what's available for sale. Rams are winning, sales will follow. That's separate from the moderns being any kind of an improvement obviously. They just continue to look wimpy.
