And theres the difference between a solid kicker and Karty. Karty BADLY misses a 53 yarder and Piniero nails a 59 yarder.

Missed Fg. Blocked XP. Bad kick gave them great field position at the overtime. Just a HORRIBLE game from him. Not sure how much patience I have for karty anymore.

just stop blaming Karty...this OL on ST's is awful....go back and look at the tape..once again they didn't block anyone

What about kicking wrong in overtime and then , SF starts their drive at their 40 yard line ? Plus the bad miss on the FG . THe XP was not his fault , the oline couldn't block ( for the 10000th time ) and the guy hit the ball , basically blocked it .

yup the XP is not on him ...BUT AS bad as missing the FG, was the wrong kick off in overtime . That kick was flagged and the niners started their drive at their 40 ! KArty gifted them GREAT field position to start that drive in OVERTIME . oh well ........... St's is just horrible , the coach needs to go ( Chase Blackburn )

The end of OT really showed that McVay had zero confidence in Karty... I have supported him but time to find someone else.

Maybe sit on the practice squad and get your head back straight.

If your kicker can’t be counted on to make 50+ yard FGs and be 100% on XPs, then the Rams need to find a new kicker.

You got guys in the league now hitting easily from 60.

Zuerlein/Gay were better than this guy. Surely there’s guys out there that can do better.

Well he tried his dirty knuckle ball kickoff..believe it or not Karty and the Rams ST actually lead the NFL by putting the opposing team in a net negative on returns as compared to other teams Kickers this year with his dirty ball. He's had a pretty good knack for kicking off and causing the receiver to muff on his ball. But this time we obviously got a little too cute and it really cost us a lot of field position and ultimately the game.

The line blocking for him is horrible. That needs to be addressed before letting Karty go.

I think any team can block a kick on us if they really tried- like the Eagles did. It ain't Karty. He's been good more than bad IMO. I always feel like he will make it when watching- if not blocked. Unacceptable BS.

And the knuckleball in OT cost us dearly.

When your coach decides to give it to your fumbling RB at 4&1 in a critical situation instead of asking you to kick to tie the game, you know its all over.

Having said that... murphy's law says he kicks the winning FG to win us the SB this year !!!

I think the decision had 100% more to do with our garbage defense playing the way the did. I get going for it. Karty would have made it from there.

I'm not so sure he would have. His head was probably not in the right place.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but the options were:
- Give it to a fumbling running back
- Put it in Staffords hands but risk another stupid drop
- Give it to your deer in headlights kicker.

Why can't we do the Tush push. !

Hindsight is wonderful, but since they all knew it was going to Williams, that would have been the time to draw SF to him but really give it to Nacua to go around the outside. It was just such a lame call. Easy for me to say, I know.

Niners picked up a kicker and he hit a 59 yarder. This guy missed a 53. Since Gay we haven’t had a good kicker

Anyone just watch the Broncos beat the Eagles in Philly... They made an extra point and and a field goal at the end to seal the win. No blocks on either kick. Justy saying...

lol! I did. And the Broncos showed us how to execute and win a game. Again… this is a coaching problem.

Last year, it was the Karty party. Dude was incredible. Also last year, our Defense was top notch after a few games… so what happened?

IMO, coaching.
