Re: WEEK 9 (Other games)
Bottom post of the previous page:
This post defines a league that is week to week. It also defines your season isn’t over in week 4 or week 9 after a loss if you are still around .500 in the later. It defines you have to move off of a loss quickly and get on to the next week……….DelMar wrote: ↑November 3rd, 2025, 11:41 am Lets ALL stop and think about this for a minute:
• The Carolina Panthers, yes, the Panthers, are 5-4 and have a 41% probability of making the playoffs after Sunday's win IN GREEN BAY. I couldn't believe what I was watching in a quad box as Jordan Love struggled against…THE PANTHERS!
• Did you know the Broncos are 7-2 and two full games in front of the Chiefs, who would be out of the playoffs if they started today? I watch a ton of football and didn't realize the Broncos had gotten that far out front. Yes, the Broncos still have to play the Chiefs twice.
• The Lions are currently the No. 7 seed. Yeah, but they'll be fine, they have a great team. Detroit still faces five teams who are over .500 and the Vikings. If there's a sign of hope for Lions fans, it's that the Bears, Panthers and Vikings are the teams chasing them.
• Could it be the 7-2 Patriots? They still face the Jets (TWICE), the Dolphins, the Giants, Bengals and the Ravens, who are still under .500.
• I know you old timers wil hear the name Bob Trumpy and think of a cold, December day in like 1983 and you're watching NBC, and he's broadcasting with Bob Costas or Don Criqui. SW Ohio has been blessed with an incredible resume of broadcasting and journalism talent. Bob was on the Mount Rushmore.
Bears and Panthers are not bad especially if Young is healthy. Vikings can hang if McCarthy plays ok. JMO Lions are not a given. Goff did not play well yesterday. Under threw a lot of passes………….
I was reminded in the Bronco game how much I despise Sean Payton. What a dirty hit on Stroud and no one is going to convince me it was done by accident………….

They look terrible. Every time I pick them to win, they do this. When will I learn?

Good, Arizona is winning. Atl draft pick will get even better. Cowboys chances of beating out the Rams for a wild card decreases. (just in case Rams dont win division).

Holy crap. The 24-yr-old Cowboy who recovered the blocked punt in the end zone died overnight.

So sad. CTE at 24? Maybe. Sounds like there were other mental health issues. Bipolar? He should have been on a high from Monday, despite losing.

Re: WEEK 9 (Other games)
Rhule’s words are very moving and a call for awareness and change in everyday interactions.
https://awfulannouncing.com/college-foo ... death.html
“Seeing the tragic news out of Dallas today, understanding that none of us know what people are going through, that’s why I think we all should be careful about what we say to people,” Rhule began. “I think we should be careful about what we tweet about people. I think we should be cognizant of what everyone’s going through. I told our players they should take their headphones off in the cafeteria and sit down with somebody and be like, ‘How you doing, man? What’s going on with you?’ Because somebody that we’re talking to, that we’re saying, ‘What’s wrong with that guy? That guy’s messed up.’ Instead of saying, ‘What’s wrong with them?’ we should all say, ‘I wonder what happened to them,’ because everyone’s suffering.
“I look at these opportunities – everyone’s going through something – they’re going to go on the road together, it’s a chance for us all to come together and be a team and unite together and spend time together. I think it’s a good opportunity for us. I send my condolences, obviously. It’s just awful, awful, awful news.”
