ok Mcvay ENOUGH
just come clean and give the scoop in it's entirety about Matt Stafford, his right medical privacy is a Ludacris discussion, every week teams disclose who's hurt and what their ailments are and how long it's gonna take them to to be better, what treatment they're getting etc. etc.
I'm not condoning it, but people are betting their rent money and Social Security checks on football games and predicting who's going to make the playoffs in the Super Bowl and fantasy football
Transparency of injury has always been part of the NFL, so stop with the bullshit McVay and just tell everybody what's going on.

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
Rams have said there will be an update given tomorrow….
All indications show this isn’t looking good. In fact for me, I’ve already come to the realization that Matt’s out, at least for the first 4 games… maybe longer. Not one piece of good news has come out of what’s been going on with Matt and I think the Rams and Matt have finally concluded that he’s not going to make opening day.
I could care less about the gamblers, especially if their rent and social security is involved. Their idiots for gambling those finances if indeed true. I do however believe us fans deserve to know something by now. Far to close to season opener NOT to know what’s going on w our QB spot… this is a make or break issue imo. Hope Sean just shoots it straight tomorrow.

People being victimized for acting stupid, in one way or another, has occurred throughout history and appears to be happening a great deal these days; still I don't approve of it occurring unnecessarily and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, no matter how foolish they are. Is your theory that those impulsive bettors will be deterred by a lack of solid knowledge?
I'm figuring that almost all even semi-focused Rams fans have already been able to read the 'tea leaves' regarding Matthew Stafford's condition, and thus are expecting Jimmy Garoppolo to be our team's starting QB for at minimum the first four regular-season games, plus possibly longer than that... :? ;)

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
Does everyone realize that Bennett could become the starting QB? JG is injury prone. I hope not but this could easily happen.

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
Maybe that is why Stetson is getting 100% of the snaps instead of Winn.
Will we see Stetson preseason week 3? What if they think Stafford might miss?

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
I mean, it could be worse. Bennett has been very impressive this season. If Gropp does get hurt, I believe Stetson could carry this team a few games if called upon.
Actually in all honesty, I’m not sure there is a better 1,2,3 duo in prof football better than our Rams QB room.
IMO…Stafford, top 5 starter, Gropp is a top 2-5 back up and Stetson imo is the best 3rd stringer in the league.
(I’m working on my cup being half full here guys, so work w me)

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
Like Rampager says Bennett is beating 3rd stringers. With that said if Bennett was to start IMO most likely Rams would go on a slide, until Bennett came up to speed with the speed of the NFL starters.

Re: ok Mcvay ENOUGH
In this context, no news is bad news. I expect to hear that Stafford is out indefinitely.
Disc damage does not go away; I can speak from personal experience. I'm real disappointed, I had great expectations for Stafford to command this Offense and make it hum.

Rams just got burned on going back to Stafford well. Franchise needs a QB next draft.

I guess this a be careful what you wish for moment, potentially, in that they always thought Jimmy G. could be a bridge QB. Although, they didn't want to pay $40mm in order to find out.

In terms of McVay… always remember, no response IS a response and it’s never good.

well let's hope it isn't too bad because this team has a lot of talent. would be a shame if Stafford couldn't go. And yes if it is serious no way does he come back next year.

If you are betting your rent money and your security check on football you need help and I could care less what that wishes on them………Commish wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 1:36 pmPeople being victimized for acting stupid, in one way or another, has occurred throughout history and appears to be happening a great deal these days; still I don't approve of it occurring unnecessarily and I wouldn't wish that on anyone, no matter how foolish they are. No theory. But it is the last reason ever for McVay to share because it is asinine.
