Konata Mumpfield - Interesting

Post by GlendoraRam »

Just watching some film on this guy. Kinda reminds me of Robert Woods.
Adjusts to the ball very well.
Runs very clean routes.
Makes contested catches.
Not sure if he will make the 53 or even the practice squad.
What’s your take?

Just watched latest episode of Behind the Grind... while they targeted everyone else it seemed that they took him on the fly.. He looks good but will be a struggle to make the roster.

Have you ever heard of a good NFL player named Mumpfield? Just based on that won't make team.

McVay’s comments to Snead during the draft.

He was confident Mumpfield was the best receiver still on the board, saying it wasn’t even close.

McVay: “He’s the best receiver. That’s not close. He makes some impressive adjustments too, now. Can change his route tempo. This is impressive. I like the way he’s wired, for sure. Mumpfield seems like a good pick in the seventh.”

Depending on how may WR’s the Rams keep, this is how how I see the WR group. I think they keep 6 maybe 7. So there is a possibility of adding a rookie.
Puka Nacua
Devante Adams
Tutu Atwell
Jordan Whittington
Xavier Smith/Britain Covey - PR

When it comes to THIS team, late-round picks and UDFA's are nothing to sneeze at.

Nick Scott, Quentin Lake, Nacua, Kyren Williams, Alaric Jackson!

Rims are different from other teams. Have a specific system and style of player that allows for late round gems.
totally agree but for every Puca there are 9 other guys that don't amount to anything. not trying to be negative but it is freakin hard to make an NFL team let alone have an impact.

I would love to see them bring in Keenan Allen.

If he can run routes and make catches, its possible. But he'll have to contribute on special teams if he wants to make the roster. Nick Scott was a special teams demon and eventually cracked the rotation in the secondary.
