Re: Win is a win is a win…. BUT
DM, we did put them away…. I knew it wasn’t going to be a blow out! Yes, we screwed up with 4 turnovers BUT we won in enemy territory. Lessons hopefully learned but we are going on to next week. At least be glad for Stafford. Never had been this deep in the playoffs and he was a baller. It’s easy to look at the negative…. We will fix that!

Re: Win is a win is a win…. BUT
It honestly looked fixed. Look at the fishy plays:
#1. Akers fumbles at the 2 yard line before end of 1st half
#2. Matt Gay short on a 47 yard kick
#3. Brian Allen snaps the ball past Stafford when he’s not looking
#4. Akers, only needing to not fumble as Rams try to run out the clock, actually fumbles.
This game made it look like the Rams were shaving points.
But, if they win next week all will be forgotten

It's the Goat
Brady makes come back wins for a living. Ask the falcons.
With that said the turnovers on offense needs to be cleaned up. Akers had a horrible game. Luckily Stafford was on point and Kupp was Kupp

Re: Win is a win is a win…. BUT
Agreed--without those four turnovers, this game would have been at least a two-TD victory.
Thank you, Cooper Kupp!

The Kupp fumble imo was just football. Bad stuff happens. The other ones should have never happened just way too fluky.sanbagger wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 3:56 pmDon't forget the Cooper Kupp fumble...that was hugeTruth wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 3:53 pm It honestly looked fixed. Tho Kupp getting a bomb at the end of the game behind the defense with the Rams having no timeouts evens out at least one of those fluky things.
It was a very bizarre 4th quarter

Honestly DM wife was in tears the last two plays and I was close……..
Emotional in our house and you know why………
This team means so much to us……..
And we were angry with all the texts we were getting from so called “friends” who support that “other” team. Laughing at us and Rams after TB tied it………

I agree. I would rather lose 30-3 than to give up a 27-3 lead. Whew! We won!!!!!SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 4:07 pm Had rams lost that game I wouldn’t have slept for a week. They can lose next week 30-3 like they did in 1989 and I’ll be content knowing they got their asses kicked. Can’t lose on what May have been the worst loss ever.

Re: Win is a win is a win…. BUT
From the Bucs perspective, it reminded me of the Saints-Rams playoff game in 2000.SoCalRam78 wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 4:07 pm Had rams lost that game I wouldn’t have slept for a week. Rams had played awful, got down by a ton, then had a miraculous comeback to get in position to at least get it to OT. Then Az Hakim muffs a punt abd game over. Probably what the Bucs felt like after giving up the late bomb to Kupp. They had no business being in that game but if it goes to OT anything can happen. Both losses ended the season of the prior Super Bowl champs

This team is damn good...if they don't kill themselves they could find themselves in the Big game at home
possible 2 remaining games at home....how good is that?

Re: Win is a win is a win…. BUT
Yeah it’s def who they are but strategically it’d be hard to dink and dunk the ball down the field for a FG attempt with only 35 secs and no timeouts. That’s the only defense that could have gotten them beat.sanbagger wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2022, 4:10 pmI didn't notice if he called a blitz or not....but...I would answer that with the old fable of the Scorpion and the Frog

Kupp scampering out of bounds was a huge play before that. If he’s tackled in bounds then it’s questionable whether the Rams would have tried to clock it with say 25 secs left what they do

I can't think of the last time the rams had back to back 4 turnover games in the playoffs.
They'll clean that up and be ready.

Nice victory; second half took its toll on me. My calm demeanor was shattered during the last couple of minutes.
