September 10th, 2025, 1:41 pm Re: Think the Jared Goof story has ended September 10th, 2025, 1:41 pm Re: Think the Jared Goof story has ended
To state that young QB’s should be hesitant to want to work/play for McVay is asinine. There is probably not one QB playing in college that wouldn’t want to be coached by McVay…..
Does my comment define me now as a McVay “ cork sniffer”? Man I hope it does………
Yep that was the statement pretty much off the rails for me as well. You could actually argue McVay is more of a QB guru if anything.
He didn’t hurt young Goff any after his nightmarish rookie year with Fisher. Turned that shit around fast. He just saw in Goff eventual limitations within that Rams current line-up, and moved toward the trade. Winning a Super Bowl trumps everything regardless.
Ok the vets…he certainly helped put Baker back on the fast track as a League’s winner. Stafford, well being a World Champ has its perks lol. I bet Jimmy G is 100% ready to roll if need be.
But even an inexperienced back-up on a relatively otherwise unimpressive offense looked as successful as he’s been in the League while under McVay (Wolford). It’s not like the offense was carrying Wolford in his few starts – kinda the opposite at that time (game ball). Credit to McVay to exploit strengths and instill confidence.
And again regarding that Goff situation, obviously McVay was young and still learning too I’d say. I thought yeah he appeared to make Goff somewhat of a scapegoat in the end, but no doubt there’s things behind the scenes as well (?). Goff bounced back, as I think he’d had enough overall success to remain confidant.
Has any QB not benefited from or regretted being coached by McVay? Pretty sure even a young Goff learned plenty and would say so.
Love to see McVay get his hands on the next Josh Allen. I have zero worries there. - 2 Been thanked

FTR it looks more to me that the line got blown up and that was the reason for both blocks more so then on Karty.

Friends...when are we going to learn to stop posting threads with titles like "Not worried about _____" or "Rams will Dominate ________" ????
I am worried about EVERY SINGLE GAME. How can we not be after watching Carolina hand it to us last week? Have you been watching Jamyr Gibbs and Jamison Williams??? Yeah, we should be worried. Especially if our D-Line can't get to Goff - we've become a mid-tier pass rush if you haven't noticed.
I think we'll pull it out but...Dan Campbell's are playing for their playoff lives right now. They will throw EVERYTHING at this game. - 2 Been thanked

Eagles player Carter said there was a tell. Once the center put his head down with the play clock close to 0, they knew the rams would snap.
How does this tell happen? Why wait until the play clock was low before they snapped?
Mcvay and the staff is at fault too. I still can't believe how so much incompetence can happen on one play. My faith in the rams really took an hit bc this shouldn't happen. Just horrible. Rams team from the coaches down should be ashamed - 2 Been thanked

Rob Who-enstien?
Yeah, I can't see a high pick on T any longer. Mc C' certainly has proven himself. So my updated needs is 1) CB 2) WR (if Adams opts out) or 2) Run stuffing DT to go along with Ford. Because of the Shelton contract I can't see them drafting high on a C . Otherwise I would say that
I don't think you can rule out anything yet. BPA or trade out is what is going to happen IMO. So many different directions they can go - 2 Been thanked

BUT 4 FUCKING TIMES ?!?!?!?! This is on mcvay , entirely . He goes soft when he has a lead , his defense plays soft prevent when he has a lead AND his ST's sucks ASS and contribute directly to all those losses because he refuses to fire Chaseburn .

December 21st, 2025, 10:20 am Re: Rams Fire Chase Blackburn December 21st, 2025, 10:20 am Re: Rams Fire Chase Blackburn
Seahawks thought they were geniuses they werent they may have known the "weak point on the STs alignment" but what got Blackburn fired was his stupid pov to punt it down the middle especially with just so little time left in the game down by 2 tds and 2 extra pts. Nothing to do with Seattle's brilliance it was Blackburns stupidity to not tell Evans to punt it out of bounds even if we would net 5-10 yards less if the punt was great causing a fair catch i would rather have zero chance for a run back then an extra 10 yards punt net. You had to know they were going to run it back because of the score. - 2 Been thanked

April 26th, 2025, 2:06 pm Re: Trust The Process April 26th, 2025, 2:06 pm Re: Trust The Process
I am pretty damn certain that McSnead and the entire scouting department knows a hellava lot more than I do.
Wasn’t happy with the Hunter pick. Snead targeted this guy.
Would rather see a big back who can move the pile. Rams seem to draft the same sort of RBs.
Henderson, Williams, Corum, and now Hunter. I am going to trust the Rams staff knows what they are doing. They have nailed it before, and the best indication of future success is past success.
I like Ferguson, seeing how he is big and the fastest TE in this class.
As for Josaiah Stewart, undersized… but as Bill Belichick once said “I don’t pay attention to the numbers or size all that much, I want guys who can play football”. Stewart seems to fit this mold.
Ty Hamilton seems for be a very good anchor for the middle.
Chris Paul Jr. was expected to go higher. Think we got a decent coverage guy here.
Again, I am going to trust the process and believe we had an excellent draft.
I am shocked Martinez, RB Miami, has not been drafted yet. He is a huge back would love to see him a Ram. I have total confidence in Rams FO. Concerned about back 7 defense and the OL depth - 2 Been thanked

October 13th, 2025, 6:22 pm Re: has McVay Regressed October 13th, 2025, 6:22 pm Re: has McVay Regressed
As a play-caller, he might be around 15-ish. But as a head coach, he’s easily top 3 to top 5. My issue with him is that he takes too long to make changes when things clearly aren’t working. He thinks he can fix everything and everyone — but sometimes, new personnel is what’s really needed.
Then when the team acquires new personnel, notably on offense, the head coach should give those newly-obtained players at least a modicum of playing time...  :!:

From the standpoint of finding a new whipping boy for this forum (filling the Noteboom void), this seems to be a good signing.
I still have nightmares about this.
No joke....the other day I dreamt I was watching local news and sports came on... it started out saying 'The Rams brought back an old face today, needing some help on the OL, The Rams have rekindled with Joseph NoteDoom. This is a void that was badly needed and the Rams felt Joesph can fill the holes that are needed'.
And I am not joking. I woke up in a sweat. This is what I called a really bad nightmare. Like Groundhog Day the movie, I fear this will repeat again.
Therapy or some shock treatment may cure me. Not sure yet...
Haha. You scare me sometimes. :-)
I wouldn’t want Noteboom back if he was free. That “experiment” is over hopefully. I think we will see some improvement from McClendon this year. He is really a RT and had little experience at LT. - 2 Been thanked

October 26th, 2025, 6:48 am Week - 8 (Other Games) October 26th, 2025, 6:48 am Week - 8 (Other Games)
The only game that I am super interested in is the Texans / 49ers game.
Here is some info on the 49ers that I found surprising.
The 49ers' defense is actually horrendous, especially in the absence of Fred Warner. They are a bottom-three unit in the league on paper, and they suffered even more injuries in their latest matchup.
The Texans' defense, on the contrary, is still among the best in the league, and they're at full strength.
San Francisco has one of the worst rushing offenses in the league to date despite the presence of Christian McCaffrey, and the Texans have the best schedule-adjusted pass defense in the league. They're a bit vulnerable to explosives at times, but that's not the 49ers' game.
Mac Jones will likely be the 49ers' starting quarterback again; he has three touchdowns and four interceptions over his past four starts while facing a laughably easy schedule of opposing defenses.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan deserves a ton of credit for getting this team to 5-2 despite all the injuries, but they are 4-1 in one-possession games, and we can list the plays that could have swung things in a different direction against the Cardinals, Rams, and Seahawks.
The Texans have a stingy defense, allowing 14.7 PPG on the season. In San Francisco’s last nine games when facing a defense allowing 17 PPG or less, the 49ers are 1-8 ATS. - 2 Been thanked

Did Goff roll out on a broken play, head toward the sideline to assumable step out of bounds and then decide to throw the ball away back into the field of play and get picked all while inside the 20 ready for a Rams score? Did that play happen? Was it a playoff game?
I remember that play well. Troy Akiman was on the broadcast when Goff tossed that int, he said, “it doesn’t get any worse than that”.

January 5th, 2026, 3:34 pm Re: Aubrey Pleasant and Chris Beake who dat? January 5th, 2026, 3:34 pm Re: Aubrey Pleasant and Chris Beake who dat?
I think we generate pressure but never closed. Verse in particular just seems incapable of closing out a sack. He is so close but they always slip away from him..
which makes all that "pressure" essentially worthless. We aren't getting there, our DB's can't cover their shadow and we're getting beat time and time again. Top QB's will just eat us alive at this point.
I relooked at many of the plays from that Rams Carolina game and Forbes and the Rams D was just taken advantage of by late adjustments. I'm hoping Q fix it, bc he can make late counter adjustments to the D after Carolina audibles.
For example
Carolina audibles and use their receivers and backs to pick up Rams sending 6. They get the one on one matchup they want with 3 wrs initially going into coverage. Somehow a late adjustment wasn't made, by the defense (Whoever was wearing the green dot), bc the ILBs and safety remained in zone all waiting for the 4th receiver to go out for the pass after initially helping to block. So 3 guys on one wr, while Forbes is one on one and gets beat by a post route for a td.
So many times, Rams defenders are left covering grass or the same receiver, due to Carolina audibles, to get a one on one with Forbes.
One time Carolina audibles, which moves the safety to the inside, leaving, Forbes in bump and run coverage alone on the outside, which he gets burned for a td.
Over and over Carolina made audibles and late adjustments to get one on one with Forbes and sometimes other cbs, and the Rams D (who ever is wearing the green dot) isn't making the proper adjustments.
Q is missed - 2 Been thanked
