It’s funny you say that about booze or whatever drugs people do, especially in here. I was talking about this w Upland the other day, as it’s somewhat obvious when certain posters in here are getting loaded up. They are so up and down, and at times, incredibly obvious.

Me too on the booze, only ngts I have an adult beverage is date nights…and that’s about once every two months. Plus, 3 kids under age 11, know how to destroy any type of buz you’re working on. So, stopped years ago and was actually one of the decisions I made.

Amazing how much booze destroys the body, relationships and everything else. Why? Just to get a hour buzz to wake up w an awful hangover the next day?.

I’m a sleepy time Tea type of guy myself… 😎

I know what you mean about booze. I quit as I said 30+ years ago and quit cigarettes 27 years ago this coming April and never bothered with drugs except for smokable THC. I now eat only 2 meals a day, and do light workouts with my son a couple times a week and at 67 and still working in the field in Construction, am kinda in similar shape to RFK. Pretty bad when I can work circles around alot of the youth of today, and I'm talking about things that can be labor intensive. Like demo's for Kitchen and bathroom reno's, roofs, siding, boarding/drywall and even drainage... not bragging, just noting the differences from when I was young, no old bastard could outwork, out drink, out fight or out F me! :wink:

The Rams were 20th in the NFL last year in PPG. I really don’t think adding a 33 year old WR at the end of his career is going to make them lead the league in scoring.

I know the off-season is all about hopes and dreams, but this is batshit level crazy.

No one is questioning their record, their injuries, or the overall job he has done. But the writers here who have followed this team for years are not idiots. They know in big games he has either disappeared with his play calling most of the game or in the 4th quarter. How many SB wins does he have as a HC? When does he become responsible for the answer being zero? Never?……..

And you know what they say about McVay here? 581 total yards last game against Seattle n 37 points with no Adams n most of the game no Dotson. It’s not like the Niners were without their starting QB tonight or their star RB, or their star TE………

173 yards total tonight n 3 points. And not one rushing first down. I think they said first time that has happen to the niners since 1969…….

Rams would still be stuck one one SB win if Shanahan was this teams HC instead of McVay……..

You and me both lost a lot of respect for him..that was a petty move by McVay and he let his ego get in the way of what was best for the team..when the team Doctors said Goff was able to play..McVay was determined to show Goff that it was his team and his way or the highway..and the rest is history as they say.



Well, Jared Goff did have a broken thumb when John Wolford started for the Rams in that 2020 'win-to-get-in' regular-season finale vs. the Cardinals.

As a recall, our team's "D" gave up only seven points (set up by a Wolford interception) while scoring nine itself (pick six and safety), so the Good Guys could likely have won that game with my sister-in-law starting at QB for them, or at least George Plimpton.

As for Sean McVay starting Wolford (who was sidelined rather quickly by a chest injury) in the NFC 'wild card' game against the Seahawks, I was uncertain about that, however I did recall Chuck Knox's foolish decision to start an injured James Harris at QB in the 1975 NFC championship contest.

The critical injury during that Rams' postseason upset of the Seahawks was the one to Aaron Donald, as it turned out... :shock: :wink: :mad:

Kyren fixed the fumbling issue but he isn't as good as a short yardage back as in previous years. It could be bc he is prioritizing ball security when in pileups, rather then moving the pile, which is fine with me.

Overall I'm pleased with KW and Corum is a good contrast with his burst.

Just read some of posts on Cowboys boards. This post sums them up in general. We should consider ourselves lucky to be a Rams fan.

1) They hate their coach...or at least don't think he is a winner
2) They don't think Parsons is worth QB money (can't disagree with them)
3) They believe Dak Prescott can get them to .500 record but he is not a top tier QB and flops in the playoffs

I love it when Dallas sucks.

I started this topic as a legit rhetorical question based on the performance of our pass rush to date. I accept that one plausible answer to the question is a coaching scheme by Shula . We are 7-2 and very successful in scoring D. I am not a huge blind believer in PFF grades for our front 7 Personnel to date and like to factor in what I see with my own eyes. Our tackling on D is improved from last year and that is not debatable- so IF it is more a matter of less pressure / fewer sacks from our front 7 players than last year - perhaps ( a lot or a little by system design) than we are used to seeing. Mac Jones was 33-39 and that was shocking on its face value. If scheme based , in some indeterminate rate, ok and hope we instill in Darnold the bad memory on his part from last year. The Brian Flores point is an interesting one.

I’m certainly not going to debate the athletic. Obviously everyone knows Silver and the other writer mentioned has made a name for herself……..

I will say again Shanahan was the one who insisted on resigning Auyik and giving him that contract per the ones in the know here. Lynch n others were not so hot on the idea………

I also know it was reported at the beginning of this year that Shanahan was told he wasn’t going to have a say on future extensions……..

The sense here was Auikyk was never coming back this year. You got a sense that neither party was interested. I guess now it has been confirmed……..

JMO I don’t think we have heard the last of them just agreeing n now they don’t have to pay him or this decision won’t have an effect on their cap. IMO others in the league are going to look closer at this……

I noticed that the Rams were using him on special teams against the Panthers he made a tackle at the spot of the catch when has that happen this year.I wish McVay would let him run the ball against the Bears .He a punishing runner .

That Young interception in the end zone was so disappointing and awful. They never really recovered from that offensively. The O-line, except for former Ram Corbett, has been decimated too.


don't ever remember a year like 2025 where so many teams OL's are decimated.....the lack of quality OL is at an all time low. Urban Meyer talked about it last year about how the college game isn't developing OL....I tend to agree with him

Higs has been a huge plus as a Ram... None of the other TE's we have are even close to the Blocker he is..
He's mentoring the young TE's while he's on IR. Team player all the way!
Too bad for the injuries and age, but everybody's time comes. I've got nothing negative to say about Higs.
