I don’t believe any of our corners would even be on any other teams roster.
Our safeties are decent. But, as a group, our corners are the worst I have ever seen.
Williams, Forbes, Durant, Kendrick, and Wallace should be off this team in 2026. They have no business being in the NFL.

It’s unlikely that Purdy will play, and now the Rams should know how to play against Jones. Do what Houston did. He’s still dangerous with Bourne, and Jennings and Kittle are coming back to their old selves. Somehow McCaffrey seems to be getting stronger each week. It’s always a very tough game. The Rams have to be aggressive and not let up. If there are no turnovers and no missed kicks, things should go well, especially with SF’s defensive gaps. A healthier Giants offense would have beaten them last week. The Rams are pretty healthy.

We won't need the D if we don't turn it over. Carolina averages 18 points a game or something like that and won't outscore us if we play clean.
I doubt they're going to get all the breaks they did last meeting too, 3 TO's including a Pick Six, two 4th down gambles that got them two 40+ yard TD's, and starting every drive on the 35 because our kicker was instructed to boot it into the EZ or so it seems. Only once did that happen last week. We actually kept the Cards inside the 30, 3 times on KO's including once inside the 20. We'll see what the Panthers got now.
Stuff the run and their O is done! I'll bet we have more motivation then them because of that disastrous last meeting.
The Panthers are gonna get spanked imo. :cool:

Another thing I like about Lake is during the off-season he goes down to San Diego (think Rucker Park NYC basketball NBA pickup games).........and goes against some of the best WR in the NFL to try and get better.

Loyalty over location I love your tag-when the Rams moved from OC to to St. Louis my Raider friend in the Bay Area would always say to me Loyalty over location. The truth is I use to go to Rams pre-season games in the 1970's and had season tickets the first year the Rams moved back to LA but my favorite Ram team ever was the 1999 Stl Rams. Loyalty over location !

I will have to agree...at this point, the rams just need to find their next franchise qb. I am done with Stafford. Doesn't do you any good to play well until week 14 and then play like shit the rest of the season and playoffs. Mcvay and Stafford only have a SB RING BECAUSE OF AARON DONALD.

You nailed it. McVay won because of AD. This team lacks toughness and that is totally on McVay.

I started this topic as a legit rhetorical question based on the performance of our pass rush to date. I accept that one plausible answer to the question is a coaching scheme by Shula . We are 7-2 and very successful in scoring D. I am not a huge blind believer in PFF grades for our front 7 Personnel to date and like to factor in what I see with my own eyes. Our tackling on D is improved from last year and that is not debatable- so IF it is more a matter of less pressure / fewer sacks from our front 7 players than last year - perhaps ( a lot or a little by system design) than we are used to seeing. Mac Jones was 33-39 and that was shocking on its face value. If scheme based , in some indeterminate rate, ok and hope we instill in Darnold the bad memory on his part from last year. The Brian Flores point is an interesting one.

I also know it was reported at the beginning of this year that Shanahan was told he wasn’t going to have a say on future extensions……..

The sense here was Auikyk was never coming back this year. You got a sense that neither party was interested. I guess now it has been confirmed……..

JMO I don’t think we have heard the last of them just agreeing n now they don’t have to pay him or this decision won’t have an effect on their cap. IMO others in the league are going to look closer at this……

That Young interception in the end zone was so disappointing and awful. They never really recovered from that offensively. The O-line, except for former Ram Corbett, has been decimated too.


don't ever remember a year like 2025 where so many teams OL's are decimated.....the lack of quality OL is at an all time low. Urban Meyer talked about it last year about how the college game isn't developing OL....I tend to agree with him

Higs has been a huge plus as a Ram... None of the other TE's we have are even close to the Blocker he is..
He's mentoring the young TE's while he's on IR. Team player all the way!
Too bad for the injuries and age, but everybody's time comes. I've got nothing negative to say about Higs.

I don't think 2 first would be enough for either. Maybe 2 firsts and a 2nd if we are lucky.

Since this is a hypothetical question, I will also assume this is after Stafford leaves...could be 1-3 more years. I would do it for Burrow but not for Lamar.
- Lamar has not looked 70% all year
- Lamar rarely finishes a full season
- Running QBs hit a wall fairly quick (Not saying he has hit is wall, but he won't be as effective in a couple more years
- Burrows struggles finishing seasons as well. (Even at LSU.) He is good enough to take a chance and hope it has been OL issues getting him hurt
- McVay's offense is extremely complicated. I would default to the player that has the highest football IQ. (Not sure which one in this case.)
- 2 firsts and 1 2nd is nothing to give up for a QB. It would take at least 2 firsts to move up and grab one and then there is only a 50% chance of them being successful.

You saw the dB lost balance and fell. That is the reason Atwell was wide open. Stafford saw it and took advantage of it but the dB losing balance alone and going to the ground is what allowed to this play to happen to begin with.


True, but the DB legs got tied up bc of TuTu with that speed running at him and putting a solid move on him.

Tutu drew a DPI with a similar move earlier in the game

The only way the Rams fall behind either GB/Philly is if they lost to either ATL/AZ. So I don’t even think that’s a consideration.

But if the Rams lose to Seattle then very likely they won’t get HFA. It’d either be Seattle getting it outright or SF winning the TB if they beat Seattle the last week of the season.

I think for confidence purposes it’s important for the Rams to win this game. If they lose then Seattle would have a ton of confidence since they really dominated the 1st game aside from some horrific QB play. And you don’t want play at Seattle in the playoffs. That’s the best HFA in football

It’s funny you say that about booze or whatever drugs people do, especially in here. I was talking about this w Upland the other day, as it’s somewhat obvious when certain posters in here are getting loaded up. They are so up and down, and at times, incredibly obvious.

Me too on the booze, only ngts I have an adult beverage is date nights…and that’s about once every two months. Plus, 3 kids under age 11, know how to destroy any type of buz you’re working on. So, stopped years ago and was actually one of the decisions I made.

Amazing how much booze destroys the body, relationships and everything else. Why? Just to get a hour buzz to wake up w an awful hangover the next day?.

I know what you mean about booze. I quit as I said 30+ years ago and quit cigarettes 27 years ago this coming April and never bothered with drugs except for smokable THC. I now eat only 2 meals a day, and do light workouts with my son a couple times a week and at 67 and still working in the field in Construction, am kinda in similar shape to RFK. Pretty bad when I can work circles around alot of the youth of today, and I'm talking about things that can be labor intensive. Like demo's for Kitchen and bathroom reno's, roofs, siding, boarding/drywall and even drainage... not bragging, just noting the differences from when I was young, no old bastard could outwork, out drink, out fight or out F me! :wink:

The Rams were 20th in the NFL last year in PPG. I really don’t think adding a 33 year old WR at the end of his career is going to make them lead the league in scoring.

I know the off-season is all about hopes and dreams, but this is batshit level crazy.
