Last year, the long ball to Atwell was huge in beating SF. Hopefully there will be more of that this Thursday, but in a crushing win, not a comeback win. I think that as the interior O line gets stronger, there will be more time to throw deep to Atwell.

just think of the terror that he presents to the DB's in this league. It opens up the middle of the field when he is in as well

I hear McVay talk about splitting the season up into quarters. My honest observation and opinion is he waits for certain players or even wrinkles to deploy later in the season. I thought Shanahan had a good game plan to start the game. But running up the middle 3 straight times instead going for a first down and the win was one of the most gutless coaching decisions I’ve ever seen.

defensive game play was embarrassing....to let that average QB sit back there and throw at will is beyond embarrassing

I think that McVay is brilliant, but he sometimes seems overloaded. I’d like to see LaFleur have primary play calling duties for one game just to see if the overall team play is stronger. They were dominated by a very wounded divisional rival at home. That shouldn’t have happened.

Hate to say this but I think its time we benched Kyren and put in someone else, not because Kyren is not a good player but because he is loosing us games with fumbling and dropped catches.
