Re: QB Depth and Bennett.

Bennett is going no where this year IMO. I think they may bring in a camp arm but that is it. He will get every snap in preseason which will be huge for him. He needs to be the best player on the field in preseason or there will be no next year for him IMO.

for sure will be there this year ...

Re: What’s is the biggest area of concern for the Rams going into 2025?

#1 We did not address our run defense.
#2 We got bounced from the playoffs because of our run defense (see #1)

Ummmm, so the Rams acquiring Poona Ford, Nate Landman and Chris Paul, Jr. doesn't "address our run defense"?

How much improvement will occur is uncertain, however there clearly ...

Re: Kyren Williams contract

I dont get the rush. KW is under contract, he is a rb (who are risky longterm signings), Rams have addressed the RB position the last two years adding young talent.

Let KW play out the last year of his deal and then he can hit the market and find out his value. The rams can see what his value is vs ...

Re: Looks Like D.J. Humphries Is Our Starting Left Tackle

The good news is DJ is talented with upside and even if AJ can play, DJ is a great depth move.

Re: Chris Shula’s Defense: A Tale of Adaption For 2025

Imo Chis Shula scheme is sound. The issue is tackling. Many of these guys do not have the talent to consistently tackle.

Rams needs some tackling machines on this team. Pooh can tackle, he only missed 3 tackles all of last year and was one of the higest graded run defenders in the NFL.

Nate ...

Imagine my surprise seeing him start and play the whole game at LT

He looked pretty good or at least didn't embarrass himself.
Pleasant surprise indeed

Re: Bulldawg's boy Stetson Bennett looked great!

Imo, Rams longterm plans with Bennett is to be a solid cheap #2 qb. A qb that can fill in a game or two for the starter. Imo he is well on his way to being just that.

This could be JG last year here. JG been looking good and will more likely leave next year for a chance to start.

Beyond this year ...

Re: Bulldawg's boy Stetson Bennett looked great!

I dont think , at this point in his career, that JG really cares if he starts, or is back-up. I think hes more into where he can be happy. His camp could have had a starting job if they wanted one.

Maybe JG would be fine returning as a backup next year, or maybe not. With that said, if Bennett ...

Re: Willie Lampkin?

GlendoraRam wrote: August 12th, 2025, 6:47 pm I want to see him as a situational fullback.
Agreed.

Mcvay has to see this. The guy technique is flawless. The guy is a technician. He should be able to be used as a blocking FB, a blocking TE and Center.

Re: Rams post first depth chart

Is Shelton really better than Limmer? I really wasn’t impressed with Shelton in his first go with the Rams. Or maybe the Rams watched the last Eagles game and realized they need a veteran at Center

Some say he has improved since last being with the Rams. Some say it's Shelton ability to call ...

Looked good today. Key is how he feels tomorrow and next week, etc.

With that said, Stafford is on track for week 1.

Re: Ty Hamilton DT - Rams gave up 4th round pick next year for him ?

He mostly playing/learning NT. Don't expect alot of stats from him. Rams are using him as a man eating NT who job is to hold his ground. Made a solid play against the Chargers, holding his ground (nothing special). Rams always knew he was a project, so they will be patient, imo. I wouldn't count him ...

Re: McVay on Shaun Dolac not playing today

Looks like he made the cut. Well deserved. He wasnt drafted mainly due to size. You know who else wasn't drafted mainly due to size. London Fletcher.

I'm not saying he is the next Fletcher, but size can be overcome as long as you have the other skillsets and have that "dog in you" (as Fletcher ...

Re: Other Games - Week 1

Chiefs starters played in each of the preseason games and still Andy Reid said the team came out flat.

Its interesting, bc the Chiefs are one of the few teams that play their starters in each of the preseason games.

Re: Texans @ Rams Game Thread

When was the last time we had a fast start?

Bears the rams SB year.

With that said it was the Bears, a good team, with questions in D and O to warm up on.

This is why I was hoping for Saints or Titans or even Seattle Week 1. Of course the Rams offense have to warm up against one of the best ...
