Clayton Kershaw
Just saw some numbers .. ridiculous.
Courtesy of David Schoenfield
From 2011-2017 he was 118-41 2.10 ERA and won the ERA title 5 times in 7 years
102 times in his career, 22.6% of his starts, he gave up ZERO runs in a start
47% of his career starts he gave up ZERO or ONE run
That's just nuts .. almost HALF of his starts he gave up no more than ONE run
Greatest regular season pitcher I have ever seen
Funny thing as bad as his post seasons were 24 of his 32 post season HR were solo shots
26.5% SO rate to 6.7 walk rate compared to his regular season numbers of 27.1% and 6.3%
Biggest difference was .255 average with RISP compared to .200 in the regular season
A little better luck here and there and his post season win% could be quite a bit better and lets not forget that at least one of those games was the Astros cheating scandal where he had the 4-0 lead
